@GamerThumbTV Although Li Mei's endings in MK:DA and MK: Armageddon are non-canon, these events did occur......in an alternate Midway timeline.

Without a doubt the most shocking thing was that Liu Kang died in the original timeline. Not how he died, that he died at all and it was canon.

As far as the characters they've revealed so far in MK1 it seems they're all from previous games. No original MK1 playable fighters yet at least.

'Deadly Alliance' was a game changer for the franchise. I was 10 years old when it came out and when they killed off Liu Kang, I WAS SALTY! But after beating the game, I understood why. It still holds up to this day. Great video as always, dude.

Same here, I was 10 when Deadly Alliance came out, hated it when they killed off Liu Kang, but overtime it grew on me and when Zombie Liu Kang came it was okay.

I don't think I've seen that one in particular but it took a while for Japanese gamers to really be exposed in a wide manner to Mortal Kombat. It definitely started as a fighter that was seen as being much more western compared to what they made (Street Fighter, Tekken, etc)

I love that she has "armor" and its just shoulder pads and a battle bikini. I'm glad they were able to take a character like this and reinvent her for 12, I never found her interesting or unique before. Also both Taven's parents are Elder Gods, so how is he a half god?

His mom isn't an Elder God, only Taven's father Argus. His mother Delia is an Edenian sorceress. She's mortal

Adema also made a really cool and rad music video for Deadly Alliance during the time. Li-Mei, I used to have the PlayStation Magazine during the earlier times. I liked reading about their profiles and bios, I liked Li-Mei's the most in that regard. Some good times. This video and Premiere turned out to be pretty good. Your details, and explanation of the character is exhaustive and extensive and impressive. Her character design looks even better than before now. This new timeline is going to be good, I am excited

Saying every character from MK1-4 fought the same outside of special moves is a common misconception. There were differences in the basic moves such as speed, height, range, and hit detection. For instance, UMK3 Sheeva had the best HK while Liu Kang had the best roundhouse and the female ninajs had the best jabs. MK3's dial-a-combos made each character feel more unqiue.

Five years ago if the arcade scene steel had it and resurfaced it would have been good then a bad move although now in the 2020s it's a good move because of solitude in the comfort of your own home and not having anybody around sometime it's just a good way to enjoy the game and that Liu Kang neck snap is legendary still to this day remember when I saw him again I wasn't shocked I just want to play the game and see how it ran because Charlie Nash suffer the same Fate in the Street fighter verse over and over again until Alpha 3

Here in Central Florida we actually have a decent size arcade scene. Lots of barcades that have been open for a couple of years that have some awesome classics. It's pretty cool

Glad she is back in the new mortal kombat and is playable she also one of my video game crushes when i saw in Mortal Kombat Deadly alliance (haha)

I am curious to see what role Li Mei will play in the new Era. Heck there's much to look forward too when MK1 releases next month.

As we know a major role being that apparently she trained Kitana and Mileena and was the original leader of the Umgadi. Even Ashrah apparently will be very important! MK1 is gonna be awesome!

I've always felt the "hate" that the 3D era gets is trying to rewrite history. No one hated those games and they are still fun to play. Also, maybe it's just me but I'm much more a fan of quick snappy combos as opposed to each button being mapped to a specific limb and not being able to sidestep on top of that. Also three fighting styles. I love the newer games but I miss the old combat.

One of the few things they did right. But I wished they had shown her be a harsh officer, given how tougher the law is on Outworld. And then have her and Striker meet and argue about their respective law systems. "Mortal Kombat" used to be so creative and deep. Now...look how they butchered everything and everyone.

She went from hot to not.
