70’s jack: **wholesomely plays with children at a local playground** late 80’s and early 90’s jack: **tracks down a random man for making an offensive pun about jack’s burgers and proceeds to enter his home and commits aggregated assault on him**

2023-2033 Jack is revealed to a trans but they won't say which one because it's too far out even for corporate pandering America
I never have eaten there...but I'm a HUGE fan of Jack...no maskot makes me feel like Jack does (maybe just the Caveman) because I think that maskots are just stupid tricks to make me buy their junk......but Jack is so different...so bold...a murderous psycho...but a lovely man dancing Jumbaco for his kid at the same time. A man that really loves his burguers...and totally hates to be blown up! Jack Box is the best example that a good ad totally creates a BOND with a brand, and also could make you forget some MYSTERIOUS deaths!...even if you haven't used it in your goddamn life. Jack taught me how to deal with manslaughtering and being fired! Money & dy·na·mite! So long life to the most BADASS CEO Clown! Total respect!

I miss Jack in the Box and it's great tasting food, they pulled out of Chicago and pretty much the Midwest back in the early 80s and concentrated their franchise to the Pacific+Southwest zone!!!

Jack in the Box, is drying up in Stephenville, Waco, Temple, Killeen, Copperas Cove, and there's NO J.I.B. in Brownwood, or other college towns.. I'm forced to visit McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Whataburger.. I think Golden Chick has a good 5 piece Catfish meal, with coleslaw, green beans, dirty rice... Texas J.I.B is mostly in the BIG Towns.. DFW, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, and Houston... SAD.... Gas at $4.50+ a gallon in some spots.. it sucks..

They changed the burgers and got rid of the sesame seed bun. The 1st burger change felt like a McDonald's copy cat, and now they use thinner patty with a cheap texture ever since covid.

I'm ASTOUNDED that they cut ties with Rick Siddig. The man is a legitimate GENIUS. Had no idea he also created the Energizer Bunny, who's also still going strong after all these decades. All hail Rick Siddig!
Man for all the crap that Jack in the box gets from people, they introduced so many new things to fast food that we all take for granted nowadays and a lot of tasty stuff as well. And for me I don’t know now learning more things about them, I they should have their characters from the 70’s come back and it would be interesting to see in the commercials what the modern Jack would think of them and would they look like in the newer commercials with modern Jack in the suit and tie. I would love that for sure. And they definitely would be funny commercials as well.

OK.... With THAT said, why is Jack in the Box places in Texas, abandoned, or dining room locked? Does J.I.B. pay enough for good people to show up to work? Is it because of Covid-19 Whataburger, and other burger places are destroying Jack? I got $15.00 on my Jack Cash Card, and I'm in Texas... Most J.I.B. places are closed or the people don't get my order right.. W.T.F.? I had to get a Filet-O-Fish from McDonald's because Whataburger halted making Whatacatch's.. Does J.I.B. make Fish Burgers in Texas? I had a hankering for a Bacon, Fish, Cheese, Onion Burger with onion rings, fries and a 44oz drink..

Is no one gonna talk about how this guy sounds like Jack
This video does a good job explaining the history of Jack in the Box. I think it was an idiot decision for them to quit working with Rick Sittig. The current ads for Jack in the Box are awful, where as I love a lot of the old commercials for Jack in the Box from the '90s and 2000s.
I wish we had more of the animated 1970s Jack In The Box Bunch commercials, because that's my favorite era of JITB. I love the 70s incarnation of Jack, but Secret Sauce Agent and The Shakes are also favorite characters of mine. I hope one day we can get more Jack In The Box Bunch stuff, maybe even Funko Pops based on them!
one of the things that I wanna do when I visit America is to eat at Jacks. It would be like a dream come true. I am from the Czech Republic so we dont have any of his restaurants here

Ngl man if they make tv show or a cartoon i bet it’ll be a huge success because of the character, its really charming for some reason
Watched while eating at the restaurant. 10/10 video. Thank you!
I worked at the marketing research and consulting company that was contracted to do the customer survey to gauge if the public wanted to keep or remove Jack. According to the owner the company, when he gave the survey findings presentation showing the majority of respondents wanted to keep Jack it seemed that the high ups at Jack in the Box already had their minds made up about dumping him.
I remember watching that commerical if jack blowing up the CEO board room and not realizing why that was suppose to funny. I had to watch some earlier commercials where they got rid of his character in the 70s to understand why that was funny.
It's ironic how this old mascot had blown up once again.

jack commits mass bombings and mayor assassination attempts on a small town in Wyoming, United States for containing every fast food chain BUT jack in the box. “some people may question such actions, and to those people, i’d like to say one thing.” the whole news set was blown up by the click of a button, with jack surviving and saying “our food will blow up, and the only other option is to blow up.” jack managed to escape the town after the bombings and wound up in washington, d.c. some estimate his plans are to infiltrate the white house and overthrow the government. he’s currently wanted dead or alive in almost 15 states and is considered a national threat to many civilians. when showing up in d.c., he was greeted by news outlets and forced him to spill the beans. he only said “i’m just here for one quest; to make sure everyone will live to see jack in the box, or not live at all.” before disappearing into the bushes.
Damb there's more history to jack in the box then I thought

I actually get what you mean. A special feeling of joy and hunger.
Alternate universe: “welcome to Monterrey Jack’s.”
The commercials in the late 90s/early 2000s really were great. The humor was clever, often nuanced, and sometimes just wild. And yes, I'll admit it, it made me think "Hell, I'll give them a chance just for being clever." And so I did. I'd avoided them for years because of the e-coli thing (and the fact there are too many fast food choices and I only eat it about twice a month). When I lived in Washington state it became my go-to FF place... and I always looked forward to the newest Jack commercial.
I think the gradual shift of JITB marketing represents a coming of age for the company: The original 60s-70s ads were childhood: they showed us goofy clowns, fun songs, and advertising resembling McDonald’s (which also appealed to kids) The later 70s-80s ads were adolescence: they got rid of the clown in an attempt to get away from their childlike branding, as well as focus on live action and humor. They even attempted short lived rebrandings such as “Monterey Jack”, which was ultimately just a phase The 90s and beyond ads are adulthood: the clown is back, all grown up and ready to return to the spotlight. These new ads are a lot funnier, saucier, and occasionally darker; and represent how the restaurant has finally found its footing once it came of age. The reason why it’s lasted so long is because of how adulthood is technically the longest life stage.
OMG....I forgot about The Jack In The Box Bunch....but I remember it well, now! I go back to ordering from the traditional JITB in the drive through.
Incredibly well researched and really awesome that you even managed to find some of these older ads, photos, and ad storyboards too! Thanks for the video!
15 cents for a burger. What a time. These days, we’re not far off from $15 for a burger.

Not quite.... Chiat/Day was the agency. Sittig was an employee and a genius. When Taco Bell called Chiat/Day said YE$... Sittig said no and continued to handle JITB for years with his own shop until new owners ruined it ...the new Jack ads suck compared to the Chiat/Day and Sittig etc work.
