Brings back great memories.
I used to watch Pantomine Hit Parade with Dotty Mack Colin Male and Bob Braun later with Bob Smith. They later changed the show name to This Is Music when they went on ABC Network! Surely I'm not the only one who remembers this. Never see any mention of it! Colin Male later became the voice you hear anouncing The Andy Griffit Show. I remember The Paul Dixion Show at WCPO with Dotty Mack and Wanda Lewis! Paul was the disc jockey spinned records. Dotty and Wanda pantomimed records as did Paul.
The Past Prime Playhouse had it's roots in the late Saturday/early Sunday All Night Theater on Channel 9 in the 60's before becoming the Night People Theater on Channel 5 in the early 70's.........
At 1:14, I think Crosley Shelvador refrigerators were made as late as 1979, because I remember that product mentioned on the game show "Make Me Laugh" that year.
Before watching this presentation, I was wondering if the Cool Ghoul would get his due recognition...yep he did! Another Purcell grad makes it big.
I think my Dad was a contestant in the early 50s on the Dottie Mack show. He did a pantomime of a popular song. I must have been two or three at the time. Anybody know of a show that featured pantomime?
