The historic town of Beltana, South Australia by Real 4x4 Adventures

We stayed at the historic town of Beltana in South Australia in the Flinders Ranges.
Is is located just south of Leigh Creek and about 20km off The Outback Highway.
There is so much history with the Australia Overland Telegraph Line, old Ghan railway, Indigenous history, the Beltana Station, the base for an "Afghan" population with camels to aid in transport and exploration in the mid to late 1800's and so much more.
The town is lived in by locals and there is a map of historical sites but you also need to be respectful of the locals who live there.
A number of the buildings are being restored.
This short video will give you a basic idea of what to expect based on when we were there in later 2023.
