@gailcaldwell1512 They were on the Gospel Singing Jubilee. I too remember them singing as we got ready for church. Loved the Hinsons and also The Happy Goodman Family who they toured with. Kenny's voice so great.

Kenny Hinson was taken home so early, what a voice he had been blessed with.

I hope you’re doing ok these days Minnie 🍀🍀🍀. I understand how cancer can devastate. My mom and sister died of it, and my niece had it but survived, luckily.

The Greatest Voice in Southern Gospel Music. Loved to hear my Dad sing this. I now "try" to sing it as well.

The Hinsons had the anointing to go with the talent which separated them from a lot of the groups. Kenny was no doubt one of the best vocalist in any genre of music

Of a surety, the Hinsons' were in a class by themselves. Such a tragedy for Kenny to pass away being so young and so talented. Thank you for listening.

Oh, how I can relate to this song...... WOW! The line that says; "Unworthy to live and not fit to kill"---- that is my life--- and for so long that is exactly how I felt! Exactly! But one day I opened my heart and found the answer for every problem I had and every problem I would ever have. That answer is Jesus--- the only one who overcame the grave so that we could leave this old earthly vessel and spend eternity in a place like no other and walk with Him through out the endlessness of eternity. When I think of that and what He did----for me, like the song says; (that I could still go free). Praise God!

Oh, how this music,, and the Hinson's challenge me to keep living for Jesus!

I was so excited that I was able to find this video...I would not miss the Gospel Singing Jubilee every Sunday while getting ready for church. The Hinsons were and still are one of my all time favorite gospel groups. You can tell that they are singing from the heart in every song they do. Thanks for posting, I have some great memories of that time.

Kenny is the greatest singer and I call him "Mr. Voice". I miss the whole Hinson group. They represent our Lord so well. Kenny's voice got richer the older he go.

Absolutely, his voice got smoother and richer with each album. In fact, listen to the original album version of The Lighthouse. Sounds nothing like him.

I miss this group so much !! I was raised on this kind of Anointed Holy Ghost filled music my parents took us to all sorts of Gospel concerts and there is or was nothing close to the Hinson's Ronnie and Kenny are truly Anointed song writer's,Musicians and singers and I miss Kenny's voice and the light of Jesus on his face and I can't wait to sing with him around the throne!!

I grew up listening to The Hinsons. This song was one of my favorites. My sixth grade class went on a weekend trip to Washington, DC. While traveling on the Greyhound Bus overnight, this song stuck in my head and I sang it the entire weekend. It was my first time ever being away from home like that and I was nervous. 'That I Could Still Go Free' gave me comfort and peace throughout the trip.

aww not this is the Kenny i remember.. im from a small town in Missouri but every weekend without fail id go to Nashville when they were taping the Gospel Singing Jubilee and stay with Chris.. we use to tease we were cousins because we had the same last name.. such a dear friend then and Now!..such beautiful memories of all the hinsons ill cherish forever..

One of my favorite gospel songs. I was reading the caption on Kenny Hinson and it's hard to believe that he died 20 yrs ago. Their family story is a good one to read.

I used to take my kids to see the Hinsons when they were young I still.love their music.

One of the greatest gospel songs ever written I believe. A lot of folk have been saved just listening to this particular song here. A wonderful song and what a wonderful day the day you first met Jesus Christ and he set you me and who ever believes free and free indeed amen amen 🙏

Yes Weston is Kenny’s son and sounds very similar.

so sad Kenny passed ,but he is in Heaven now singing or taking a rest.

If I could sing like anyone on the planet that has ever been and ever will be, I'd like to sing like Kenny.

Waking up on the weekends as a kid to my dad listening to the Hinsons...they will always hold a place dear to my heart! I have a picture of me with one of them either Ronny or Kenny I was about 2 or 3!!!
