The Highlands and Islands of Papua New Guinea
Join travelgurutv's Cathy Bartrop on a tour of Papua New Guinea, the 'last frontier' for pioneering travel. Cathy's journey takes her to the Tari Valley in the Southern Highlands where she meets up with the famous Huli Wigmen. From there its on to the Western Highlands and encounters with the Polga Mudmen and Melpa people. In contrast to the rainforest covered interior, the second part of her journey is a cruise to some of PNG's smaller, more remote islands with stops at Fergusson Island, Kitawa Island and Rabaul

We Papua New Guineans were really blessed with the natural resources. Thank-you for providing me with such an amazing salvage land's documentary.
Lived in PNG for about a year, in Hagen and Wewak ... Loved the people and our time there working for MAF...
I wish the influential states and country respect this place and its people.

not true, tourism can most definitely destroy cultures, even in tari the Hulis make up some crap for the tourists, and they do not paint their faces properly.

Wow, what a Western bigoted perspective. How is it “savage?” Because nature hasn’t been completely destroyed like in much of the West? Because people are culturally different?
