Bhai 5 crore nahi 1.3 crore hai jhut toh mat bolo mei bhi IITB se hun yaha bas 15-20 log ki 1 crore gayi hai aur kafhi unplaced bhi hai 30℅ karib ho sakte iss saal

Not really. Just a handful get, and these numbers are for international offers. Also, this includes stock options, relocation etc. etc. I can tell you that at Jane street there are so many from MIT and Stanford and very very few from IITs.

the thing with quant trading is it requires high level of analytical thinking most of the cs seats come at good jee scores which gives the companies a level of safety regarding the candidate

It is but in India these companies prefer CSE guys, reason being quite clear cause, most of the degree overlaps with mathematics if you are studying cse at a good Institute, also accept it or not there is a notion that high rankers go to cse over mathematics branch. If you are from US then these firms might prefer mathematics guys over cse

Pure Mathematics is different From CS , CS is partly mathematics partly Engineering , Mathematics and Computing is a branch which has Both Mathematics and Computer Science Courses .
