Retired employees still keeping in touch and willing to offer assistance to Porsche? That shows how much the employees love the company.

violian5 How much does that happen at GM, Ford, or Chrysler? Not so much I bet the way corporate and the workers hate each other...

@@tempest411 Agreed. Porsche treats their customers as well as their workers like no other. Which is why they are my favorite German car brand. That is ignoring their excellent reliability
This brings tears to my eyes. Working for Porsche Cars in their home country would be a lifetime dream come true.
This, what Porsche is doing, is simply beautiful. It makes me want a Porsche even more, just knowing that if something happens there are people from Porsche that are just as passionate as you, perhaps more, in making sure you are back on the road again. Wow. I hope other car companies are paying attention.
Drive has FAILED to ever make a BAD video. These shows are pure gold. An episode like this should be 2x to 3x longer! This is the content I've waited years to. Please make more like the Pagani episode and this Episode. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi, even Ford/GM/etc.
Why do I as a dude/guy feel an overwhelming sense of happiness...pleasure...appreciation from seeing these beautifully sculpted propelled machines lovingly restored???...I worked 12 hours yesterday and today installing windows doors ....breaking my ass and simply watching and listening to the devotion displayed for the Porsche marque melts all the stress of work from my mind ....why does it get my Happy Juices going😁🤗
Seeing this kind of passion for their brand and history says that I will own a Porsche some day!
I love these episodes! This one in particular! I was unaware that any such automotive company had an operation like this one. How incredible! Thank you JF for making the viewing of this possible! I really felt like I was there. The passion and the care for these cars translated through the video into my own heart. Again, thank you.
Thumbs up to Porsche Classic these guys have the right idea and passion! I love how they keep their relations with previous employees where corporations of today usually could care less. It would be awesome if Chevrolet and Ford did something similar for our classic cars.
Thank you Drive for bringing the best story's!!!
I just want to sleep eat and live in there!! Makes me love my 964 Turbo more and more...

You'd eventually get some sort of cancer from the fumes ,paint fumes, welding fumes, lead wipping fumes!
JF, you officially, along with Chris Harris, have the best episodes by far. From pre to post production edits, wow. My hats goes off to you.
As usual fantastic work. I don't consider myself a modern Porsche-man but the old stuff from them I love.
JF that must have been a dream come true my friend! Must have been nice standing so close to an original 550 and 959
Thank you, J.F. It's been 3 weeks but you finally came through.
Haha you the man J.F. Kudos to you for forming the Drive channel buddy. I do like how much passion you have for cars as you bring a lot of insight that most people wouldn't get to witness without these videos. Thanks for making it man!
WHAT-A-PLACE!!!! Those who work there must be the happiest guys in the world.
The best part about Drive videos is the long music/video accompanied lead out at the end.
This workshop is fantastic, all classic Porsche cars and a lovely machines, the Porsche 959 and the Carrera GT. Please, other video of this workshop!!!!
What a fantastic episode...Porsche is such an impressive company
10 min was not enough, I was left with wanting to know and see more. Great piece.
Incredible. This is one of the reasons why I'm such a fan of the Porsche marque. It is something special to own one of these cars.
Very nice to hear that they care so much about their old cars to keep tradition alive. :)
These guys show really amazing attitude to all these great cars.
His message is, order old parts so that more will be made, at a good price. Helps everyone.
beautiful , amazes me the music in this video , i feel like this music is just Porsche music , in many videos about Porsche plays music like this , magic , just magic ))
been there in 2007 to sell them some workshop equipment, but as far as I remember I only saw Cayennes being customized. Beautiful location for sure !
GM should do this with the Corvette. Great little documentary. Some very interesting cars in that shop.
This was really great and informative. Keep it coming. I wish more companies would do this for older cars.
I can certainly appreciate Porsche's concern for their customers cars, I'm quite sure I won't be shipping my car halfway around the world for a tuneup! Love my 79. 911 SC another very informative production from Driven.
Every Auto manufacturer should offer this .

a very nice episode from one who understands cars very well .keep up the gd work buddy
So awesome to see corporates who work for a big company like Porsche who still so clearly love cars.
this is part of the reason i love Porsche. without a doubt they have passion for racing, performance, and style and they aren't afraid to bathe in their history and culture.
rly improved your selection of music over the years, the video itself you already know is awesome so i dont need to tell you something you already know. :]
Back as a kid - i sooo wanted a 959 after watching the Paris - Dakar
all of your vids are bad ass but this is one of the best
Another great video. Can't wait to see what is next.
I'd love to send them a $2000 924, lol! All aside, what an episode and I was drooling for the entire 10 minutes and 54 seconds. Wonderful!
love these vids and the background music
It makes me happier inside knowing that this is going on :)
I have a '97 911 Turbo S. Only 188 made. I can still get parts for it. Sometimes it has to be shipped from Germany but I can get the parts. My friend with a '97 Ferrari 348 always has to wait months for parts and sometimes is told that they are no longer available new and has to go with refurbished or outright used.

+NuclearGrizzly Actually, 345 Turbo S were made. 176 were imported to US dealers. There were a several Porsche Factory demo cars marked "not for sale" which many speculate pushes the number in the US to 181 units.

Eric Davis Thanks. I've seen a bunch of different numbers for the totals. But like I said, I can still get parts for it. It's only issue has been the secondary air injection ports clogging with carbon causing the check engine light to come on. I've gotten cleaning those ports down to a science. I use gun cleaning product and give it a final coating of Mad Dog XF7. It's a high stress high temperature gun lubricant that just doesn't allow carbon to stick to the port walls.

+NuclearGrizzly How often do you drive it? I rarely drive my e46 M3 and it's NOWHERE near as valuable as your 911 is. Also do you see yourself ever selling it? I have an intense emotional attachment to cars among other things I may buy and could never get rid of it.

VenomPool I drive her all of the time. Cross country several times and even from New Orleans to Anchorage once. I don't get as much seat time now that I live in Texas as when I lived in N Georgia though. I do miss thrashing her around The Dragon's Tail and other mountain twisties. Here it's all flat and straight. And I plan to be buried in her. For a couple of years now I've considered a frame off restoration. I just don't know if I can be separated from her for at least a year. BTW Do you have any trouble finding parts for your M3?
That speedster was gorgeous
I don't usually like guys in suits but this one seemed really genuine and interested. Refreshing.
That was awesome. Thank you.
couldn't agree more! btw love the passion this guys have for this beautiful cars...

Amazing, more stuff like this and you cant go wrong.

Great coverage of Porsche Classic. Now imagine what is behind the doors of Porsche Rennsport the brand with the most race victories among all .... LeMans, Daytona, Sebring .
Very nice, I love Driven !
Real nice workshop...Porsche no substitute.
worth the wait! Convinced me I want a Porsche now :p
well worth the delay putting out this video. good stuff DRIVE!
very nice video, great job there.
I would love to get a 928 manual restored. Wonder how much that would be for a bare metal restoration.

Restored by them? Well, you can ask around what restoring it yourself costs, and then take that number multiplied by 2 or 3 for having it done by Porsche. Plus the cost of getting it there.
I love this video !!! Location: Fryburg am Neckar,Ludwigburger Strasse
I love this show
i think i have watched this video close to ten times now, gotta dream
First generation 911's have always been my favourite cars.. someday I will get my S
Thank you Porsche.
Porsche is just amazing!!
70 percent of Porsches are still on the road. Thats passion.
I am sorry, but this video just wasn't long enough. Damn you JF! Great episode tough. I am and always will be a Porsche fan.
Thank you Drive.
Best video yet JF
SO GOOD!
This video gave me another kind of feeling
Love Porsche. My local dealer supplies the parts I need to keep my G-Series 911 on the road. Love Stuttgart too, not only for Porsche, but because the manager of my beloved Liverpool FC was born there.. Jurgen Klopp!!!
I have to say, the information, and premise of this episode was absolutely awesome. As a Porsche fan, I'm blown away to know that 70% of them are still on the road. That's kind of staggering. The editing could've done a with a little work... (Narrative is less awkward when you're not looking at the narrator) Maybe some panning shots of the shop while you were doing your segues would've been better? Other than that, another great piece on my favourite KZread channel.
I really like that poster!
Brilliant!
presented by Musial - wow! polish dude working for automagazine! congrats!
And that they even use the exact same material as they used back in the days. I wish there was more places like this for even other manufacturers.
That music just sounds like class. Drive and J.F are very Fu_king cool...

Working at this place is my dream job
If I ever want a rotisserie restoration on one of my Porsches in the future, I will definitely send it to Porsche Classic. You know your car will be done as close to factory as possible by having the men and women who actually built these cars new work on them now!
They've always done it! As long as it's technicaly possible "Porsche Exclusive Tuning" will build you your totally individulized dream car. For example, one 996 Turbo customer had his car crome plated!!! One of the "standart" tunings of the Exclusive Programm, is to cover all switches, levers and plastic parts in leather! But they also do engine modifications. So if you had a 928 GTS and wanted it converted to Turo, I am sure they would do it...And what a hell machine that would be!!!
Great work
7:06 that white 993 in the back looks the best
Whoooaaaaaaaaa LOOOK! Look at that garage!!!!
Contrary to what a few people have said, I'm a big fan of JF on these videos; lets other people do the talking and the production is brilliant.
The one thing they left out of the video is pricing. As you would expect this service is very very expensive. That's why you only see high priced Porches there. I guess you could send a 944 there and have it redone, but you'd end up with a car not nearly worth what you put into it. But it's still pretty awesome that they offer this service.
Hey great video!
forget everything else, Porsche is a true legend
That would be the coolest job!!
