The Hidden Secrets of Durga Prasai
Durga Prasai claims to be leading a grassroots movement to restore monarchy in Nepal. Thousands have joined his protests, drawn by his charismatic speeches and promises of change. However, there are serious questions about Prasai's credibility and intentions. For decades, Prasai has been an active partner of the current government he now criticizes. There are also allegations of financial impropriety, corruption and fraud against Prasai himself. While many are inspired by Prasai's rhetoric, it is important to examine his background and motives critically to understand what his movement truly represents. At this stage, it remains unclear whether Prasai's movement will actually bring meaningful change for Nepal or simply serve his own ambitions and interests. Further transparency and scrutiny of Prasai and his movement are needed to determine its legitimacy and potential impact.

@@animeshanimesh2953 He is not an alternative, he is poison and the kind we have never seen before. He will increase the rate of corruption. Never ever put a person with so much financial debt in power, he will never work for the people. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
Finally someone made a video with an actual depiction of why this is happening. We must all learn to evaluate the actual motive and nature of each Leader. Lets not fall into a trap of sweet words. There are 1000 of instances showing that its not a specific form of governments that can bring socio-economic reforms. The stability, intention and vision of the government is the only thing that will make a difference. We must all choose wisely, support wisely and speak less and think more....

Reverting back to a Constitutional Monarchy just makes no sense Cause multiparty democracy would still exist and the monarch would just be a Non elected Hereditary Head of State with some shinny Pageantry. Now if the protests were for an Absolute Monarchy (which please never) it'll make way more sense. The promise of democracy & federal republicism in Nepal needs reform, change & even struggle. But the promise should remain. We can't let Nostalgia for a supposed Glorious past cloud our actual judgment for a Free-er Nation. No one leader will come & save us especially not one whose entire legitimacy rests in the idea of bloodline supremacy, hereditary rule & supposed divine origin.

EXACTLY! The over gratified constitutional monarchy that RPP begs for is nothing but a power grab for Gyanendra. They can't outright ask for autocracy, hence the term "constitutional monarchy". All the requirements of "constitutional monarchy" are fulfilled and improved upon if PM and president are made directly elected. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO NEED FOR US TO WORSHIP SOME DEFORMED INBRED OFFSPRINGS. If we actually want some change, it would be strengthening of power checks, directly elected prime minister and impartial (directly elected) president. The more we can separate those three bodies of government, the better.

Dude the problem is helding the democratic principles itself. It ain't just about development and all that jazz. Do you believe that, what we have now is democracy? Constitutional monarchy at least would upheld democratic value than this plutocracy. For instance, multiple times the closest relatives of the monarch have been subjected to corresponding law. Courts and their decisions were held in high regard. People had a trust in the judicial system. People could still protest against the oppression, there are many instances. Is that the case now? See how well the politicans take criticism now. Or their behavior in being hell bent to save their cadres charged with corruption. Therefore, we need strong Constitutional Monarchy to upheld democratic values again. Make Nepal Democratic Again.

Durga Prasai seems to be on the path of revenge because apparently he is not happy with the state regulations as well as prohibition on the operation of his own business. That's why he seems to pour anger on rich fishes and businessman of Nepal who takes away Nepalese money in foreign land. Durga Prasai may be motivated with self interest. However his motivation seems to align with Nepalese need at the moment because we're the victim of the same system. That's why for the time being I support Durga Prasai. Let's see how things go.

17:29 this was so relatable and funny. I was born in 2006. Never seen a king rule my country. People born after the democracy are about to turn or are already 18. Why would anybody think that today's youth can endure the king. What the hell was all this in Balkhu. My grandfather and his friends were active protesters to throw the king 20 years ago. His friend died 5 years ago. I wonder what those dead people must be feeling to see people protesting for the king to come back. They broke their limbs for nothing, seriously? Looking at the history of the former king and his son, they are obviously not good leaders. As a teenager, I feel so hopeless and helpless at times. Being unable to do anything to develop the country. Neither do I have the confidence nor the money to solve the actual problems of the country. I wonder what the baby steps are that we can take to solve this mess our country has become.

Some of the intellectuals are claiming that we need king for geopolitical problems but if we see this from eagle’s eye, it is not sure that the king Gyanendra will be as patriotic and bold as Mahendra. Instead, foreign powers will have to deal with a single person (king) rather than dealing with unstable government. It will be more easier for them. So, the only option we can choose is to educate as much as we can and create some reasons for people to stay here in Nepal. After that, we may see the beauty of democracy. Jay Nepal 🇳🇵
