The Hidden Paradise of UAE - Hiking in Khor Fakkan
Khor Fakkan, the hidden paradise in the United Arab Emirates.
Khor Fakkan is a town on the Gulf of Oman, in the United Arab Emirates. It centers on Khor Fakkan Bay, home to the curved Khor Fakkan Beach and a deep-sea port. A promenade runs along the beachfront, against the backdrop of the dramatic Hajar Mountains. Archaeological sites include ancient graves and a ruined Portuguese fort. West of town is Wadi Wurayah, a biodiverse mountain area with waterfalls and natural pools.
We took the afternoon to go and visit Khor Fakkan but as we got there we realized we should have taken the whole day. Khore Fakka has many places to visit and as it is close to Fujairah it is a must to stay in Khor Fakkan overnight and go visit Fujairah the day after.
There are many things to do in Khor Fakkan and this place should be on your list of places to visit in Dubai and things to do in Dubai, because Khor Fakkan is only 1 and a half hour away form dubai and its a very beautiful place.
We didn't manage to see everything in one afternoon in Khor Fakkan but we are coming back to see the rest and maybe spend the night there.
We visited the Al Rafisah Dam, the Al Rafisah Dam is a very beautiful area when you can spend the day kayaking and having fun, if you are visit Khor Fakkan you should visit Al Rafisah Dam.
Before we went to Al Rafisah Dam we were in the Wadi Shees, the Wadi Shees is a very old town where you have a 30 min trail that goes inside the town, wadi shees have a running stream of potable water and that makes it a must to have wadi shees on your list of things to do in khor Fakkan.
We after went hiking next to the rabi tower, the name of the hike is Rabi Tower Hiking Trail, and if you are in Khor Fakkan with time you should do this Rabi Towerr Hiking trail as you will have an amazing view over the whole Khor Fakkan.
If you are in Dubai, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah it is a must to add Khor Fakkan in you list of things to do In Dubai and Places to visit in Dubai.
This was just a very little road trip in UAE and I do advise if you live in Dubai, sharjah or ras al khaimah to go explore the UAE and do a few road trips around UAE.

In UAE there's always something you yet to go... I visit most of places in Khorfakan. Like wadi wurya which is now protected sanctuary for wildlife however I missed this place to visit. UAE is amazing country with amazing people living here!

Last year same season I was driving whole month on ras al khaimah to khorfakkan road, still good memories, highly recommended in this season

Wow great had been to Khor fakkan many times but didn't came across this spot thanks for sharing will surely visit.
I’ve been visit there last year, hopefully can go again this year
I recommend this place from October to end of March. Still you didn’t cover everything in that amazing place and there are big projects in there not yet finished. You should visit Shees again as they just opened new Park there+ Khorfakkan old souk+ Swefa+ Luluya beach+ diving shop = one of the best place for diving + roman theater ( almost finished ) + cloud break ( you can see whole Khorfakkan from that point which still not finished) and there r alot

I’m glad I found this place it’s beautiful I’m going there again to make a second video because one day is not enough to see everything. In our history classes in Portugal we learn that the Portuguese went almost everywhere but they never tell us about the atrocities they did to the people where they went. I’m glad that the world evolved to being a better place than before, still a lot to work on but slowly humanity will be more kind and peaceful. UAE is beautiful
