The Hidden Paradise of UAE - Hidden Beach
Khor Fakkan, the hidden paradise in the United Arab Emirates.
Khor Fakkan is a town on the Gulf of Oman, in the United Arab Emirates. It centers on Khor Fakkan Bay, home to the curved Khor Fakkan Beach and a deep-sea port. A promenade runs along the beachfront, against the backdrop of the dramatic Hajar Mountains. Archaeological sites include ancient graves and a ruined Portuguese fort. West of town is Wadi Wurayah, a biodiverse mountain area with waterfalls and natural pools.
We took the afternoon to go and visit Khor Fakkan but as we got there we realized we should have taken the whole day. Khore Fakka has many places to visit and as it is close to Fujairah it is a must to stay in Khor Fakkan overnight and go visit Fujairah the day after.
There are many things to do in Khor Fakkan and this place should be on your list of places to visit in Dubai and things to do in Dubai, because Khor Fakkan is only 1 and a half hour away form dubai and its a very beautiful place.
We didn't manage to see everything in one afternoon in Khor Fakkan but we are coming back to see the rest and maybe spend the night there.
We visited the Al Rafisah Dam, the Al Rafisah Dam is a very beautiful area when you can spend the day kayaking and having fun, if you are visit Khor Fakkan you should visit Al Rafisah Dam.
Before we went to Al Rafisah Dam we were in the Wadi Shees, the Wadi Shees is a very old town where you have a 30 min trail that goes inside the town, wadi shees have a running stream of potable water and that makes it a must to have wadi shees on your list of things to do in khor Fakkan.
We after went hiking next to the rabi tower, the name of the hike is Rabi Tower Hiking Trail, and if you are in Khor Fakkan with time you should do this Rabi Towerr Hiking trail as you will have an amazing view over the whole Khor Fakkan.
If you are in Dubai, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah it is a must to add Khor Fakkan in you list of things to do In Dubai and Places to visit in Dubai.
This was just a very little road trip in UAE and I do advise if you live in Dubai, sharjah or ras al khaimah to go explore the UAE and do a few road trips around UAE.

Khorfakkan is the Emerat of Sharjah. Fujairah is an Emirate of it's own. I stayed in khorfakkan for 2 & 1/2 years very beautiful place

There are a lot of boats that will take you to Shark Island... you'll find them right off Khor Fakkan beach itself, somebody will just come up asking you if you want to book a ride.

We were there 2 days ago. However, we only manage to hike & camp at Al Rabi Hiking Trail and stroll at the KhorFakkan Beach.
So amazing
This is nice place, it’s Good to spent the weeken or holiday there

This is not Fujairah though. Khor Fakkan belongs is part if Sharjah
Khor Fakkan is beautiful. In 2014 we were north of there at Bidiya Beach, Dibba, Fujairah getting in some SCUBA diving.

Shark island meant to be east island and shark word in Arabic means ( east ) yet there are some tiny sharks but the name goes for its original meaning what we call it east island, I from Khorfakkan 👍🏼

it was good to see Khorfakkan from your lens. best place to relax and enjoy the weekend Lulayah actually belongs to Sharjah not Fujairah, so is Khorfakkan.

It is, as long as you don’t let go their hand. On the side of the road there are some hills. But in the beach it’s all good.
