@@sirmcswagalot6224 A movie like 'The Platform' won't need to exist when we finally become intelligent enough to feel other people's suffering as our own. And that time will surely come in the near future coz working together as a team is the best chance we've got to survive as a species.

Kung Fu Panda 1 and 2 are pretty much my favorite animated films of all time, would love to see what you make of them.
Nice analysis. Liked the part about the "boring" things; Ellie thanking him for fulfilling his promise of adventure to her by doing the "boring" things
i never realized how symbolic this movie is. great video svb
Im crying hard when carl notices ellie's last message and when he give russell the ellie's badge. This movie is beautiful :')
Super well done, and I very much enjoyed it. Avatar: The Last Airbender would be so fun to watch you break down.

Definitely one on my list! Amazing show!
I'm not crying.... you are! Honestly, this was amazing. I also love breaking down themes in movies and TV shows, but the time and thought you put into this shows through, and I absolutely cannot wait for more.
I've only seen Up once, and it was a beautiful, emotional experience. I remember feeling quite melancholic at the final shot of the film, I don't think I'd understood how positive it was meant to be. Bittersweet, but beautiful!
I'm the type of viewer that usually just watches, enjoys, and leaves a like on the way out- just wanna hop in the conversation for a second and say I'm glad you're doing this! Looking forward to the next one.
Why was I hoping for an Svb asmr channel...
Damn you got some tears out of me. Idk why exactly but something about this video made me sad. Anyways thank you for that :)

I've never watched Up, but I might need to after watching this video.
dude this is gonna get so many views once it starts showing up in people’s recommended lists. great job svb.

i think you picked a really good idea for this video. these types of docu/analysis videos about movies or shows that people have nostalgia for tend to do very well.
I remembre watching this classic when I was a kid, it was very entertaining. But as I rewarched now, I'm reflecting about my existence
Criminally under-rated channel The breakdown was perfect
Wow..... Just wow. You did an amazing job with this video, it really shows that you put a lot of work into this. That was honestly quite moving. I knew there was a reason I love your OW content, this just shows you make great content no matter what! I can't wait to see what else you have planned for this channel! Maybe you could take a look at Looper or The Grey, two of my personal favorite films.
Thank you for this. What you did hear was beautiful and some parts that you elaborated on nearly brought me to tears. What you pointed out with many of these symbols I feel have connections to many aspects of everyone’s lives and I can’t wait to see what you bring next!
This is so, so well told and especially perfect to listen to. Really captures what the movie was about and explores it even so much more
Could you maybe discuss about the anime movie “Your name” or Star Wars the empire strikes back?

Amazing job SVB! Great commentary. Also I’m not crying you’re crying. 😭
Clinging to an adventure that has run its course? Sounds like me with Overwatch. Good luck on the new adventure SVB!
What an absolutely brilliant analysis of this movie :)
I've seen this movie several times and you've brought me new appreciation for it. I always think I'm ready for it, except, it's a terrible day for rain.
I absolutely LOVE this video. I am so glad one of the hardest working overwatch content creators is also putting their genius into film analysis! I am so excited for every video to come! Beautiful stuff my man, keep on going :)

Very excited about your journey with this new channel!!
This is an amazing and very well thought out vid. Awesome work!
that was a fantastic start to your new channel, svb! been sitting here with tears in my eyes for most of it because that’s what UP does to me, especially when you so expertedly show of all those wonderful core themes n the characters growth. what a great essay about a great movie :)
This is really good, keep pumping this out and this channel will blow up man trust me
You really are a great content creator. You deserve thousands of subscribers . Your voice is so pleasant and nice. Will always continue supporting you!
A really excellent evaluation. I gained appreciation for the movie and never felt like I was sitting through any convoluted overthinking or forced perspective. Reminds of Every Frame a Painting - a piece of art.
Woooooooow. You still brought them emotions back and I crie 🥺

Definitely a film with the feels 😭
Believe it or not, it was your reading of the Stone by Stone short story that made me want to check this out and I have to say, I was not disappointed. Not only did you perfectly catch the emotion of the film, you explored several themes that I didn't even think of. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane, and I thank you for that. And I almost made it through the whole thing without tearing up, but that last sentence, "...while she may be gone, their love never will be - and for him, adventure is still out there," really got to me. Manly tears, of course :). Looking forward to more stuff!
I'll never have too many video essay channels in my sub list - great breakdown of Up on this vid! Can't wait for more
😭 beautiful take, thank you
Very well said, my dear. It is an excellent video from an excellent channel. I look forward to seeing your other essays, and I look forward to more excellent analysis.
Absolutely fantastic! Well done. Can't wait to see what you cover next. I'm not crying, you're crying T-T
This video was amazing. Good luck!!
Just came from your stream: try Dorohedoro - it is crazy, turbulent and fun and the dystopian setting is very interesting. Even the "villians" are sympathetic and have their family dynamic. En for example is an cold evil mafia boss but he really cares for his weak subordinates etc.
Excellent video. This movie is just so beautiful and one of my favorite animated films. Even just watching a video essay about the movie fucks me up emotionally and I teared up several times during the movie.
Nice catch on the missing patch. I never noticed that. Great video! I was teary eyed through a lot of this video because Up wrecks me.
Such a great video, enjoyed every second.
I love this analysis! Beautiful video about a beautiful film! I can't wait to see where this channel goes (and I hope its success soars ;) )!

Even if you've lost someone you loved, you still have 7.67 billion of us to live for and live with. Humans are all there is to humanity. The relationships that we have with our fellow human beings, the bond of love & care that we share with each other as an intelligent species, the work that we do together as a team to ensure the survival and well-being of our species is what ultimately matters.

Great film analysis, really! Actually, when you were talking about Carl donning Russell's sash, I noticed that he was accidentally covering the gap in it! This holds a deep meaning, both for Carl and Russell's lives! It might represent how Carl's emptiness was being put to an end at the realisation of what true adventure means, and also be foreshadowing how, both for Russell and Carl, spending time together as a(n) (almost) family was going to be their great adventure! :')
that was a great analysis of a great film

Wow, after watching this movie again after a few years, niw I understand what is it about, and that feels great

SVB! You should do an analysis on the new game "Maquette". It's quite a short game, but it made me cry just as hard as the movie Up. There's a lot of symbolism and beauty in it that I know you'll appreciate.

the one scene that i think is so powerful is when he finally reads that part of the book and gets that closure he's been longing for. and he literally unburdens himself by shoving the physical weight off his house that was holding him back.
I'm not crying, you are
