Maybe Lyanna was so powerful that she could split her conciousness, remaining both human and horse at the same time. Bran, Arya and Jon all go into dreams/transes when they warg so if Lyanna could be half a horse, she might be the most powerful skinchanger we see in the story.

It's said that GRR Martin only used so many horses because he was sure it would never be adapted to film. HBO's choice to replace all the horses with humans is a little disappointing, but it would have cost a lot more to hire horse actors for all of these roles.

George please release Winds, I found Glimbus curled up in the shed with "TYREK IS A HORSE AND ALSO THE NIGHTS KING" written all over the walls in his own feces.

I can't tell if GRRM is now going to rewrite The Winds of Winter to remove all uses of "ahorse" or to add even more, all I know is you've pushed its publication back another two years.

Now I want a version of the show where instead of riding horses every character just animorphs into one and nobody mentions it

Wyman Manderly isn't too fat to be a horse. He's "too fat to sit, a horse". He can turn into a horse, but he finds it very tiring to do so as he's too fat to sit down in that form. Intriguingly this one line implies that while skinchangers don't conserve mass, they do conserve relative body shape; a man can become a raven, but a fat man will become a fat raven.

I think my favorite part of this is that Glimby finally gave us the Taxonomy Review he threatened ages ago! Though I was confused when suddenly I was intently fixated on the northward direction when Renly was on screen. That was unexpected.
