In Brazil the combination of players' lack of education along with corrupt and/or incompetent club managers make a fertile breeding ground for football agents who can become millionaires. Target number one is a transfer to Europe and if that fails target number two is to play for one of the two clubs with the biggest number of supporters: Flamengo or Corinthians. In the transfer scenario, there is neither planning nor presentations but only backroom deals. Gazumping and gazundering is rife and promised transfer fees are not paid so a staggering amount of transfer money end up being claimed in courts with huge interests and penalties. A very sad scenario indeed...

  • @Rabauke84

Would have loved to see something about Bayern München's strategy about signing players. According to a lot of players, they always get an invite from Uli Hoeneß to his house at the Tegernsee, near Munich. There they chit chat about the player and how he would fit into the team and what they have to offer. They drink tea/coffee and later dine with fine wine. When the player makes a decision in favour of another club, Bayern officials still hold the contact to that player. That's why players like Sané, Vidal and Rafinha ended up in München, although they went to another club. And when they are part of Bayern, they get into a comfort zone that feels like being part of a big family. They don't get that much money, like they would in Madrid, Barcelona or England, but that feeling being part of a family together with the fact that they play on a high level, makes a lot of players stay there, although they got better offers, from other clubs!

Christ I put more thought in than this on FIFA. I always check the formation, tactics & competition for places before I allow a player to leave on loan (yes I know it has no impact on their actual development)

If I was coming to the end or past my peak, I'd swap title challenges and no guarantee of football, for a move to a lower club where first team was guaranteed and it suited my family. I hate this idea of if a huge club comes knocking that it's a no brainer. Family, Wages and length of a contract, stability in life is key.

I think the difference is in the phrasing: 1. Who would you consider loaning out so I can evaluate them and see who fit in my team and I could develop for you vs. 2. Who do you have available? I'll have them. 1- Good 2 - what is referred too here.
