If you want a drum solo there is a live drum cam of Pneuma by Tool which is worth a watch on or off the channel.

Way back in 1997, this the song that made me a fan, was the first song they played at thier set at Lollapalooza. Life changing day lol.

Or the next record where the company “demanded” another song. So they sold them what they wanted. Ticks & Leeches. Love them!

There was this time not too long ago, that they were basically known for the music and people who went to concerts. They gave no interviews and were hard to reach (by the mainstream media). These guys always did their best to be out of the ordinary and they built a whole wall of mysticism around them. Also, when live, they also try their best to not follow the ordinary concert disposition of the band. I've seen them live where Maynard was singing in line with the rest of the band (not the typical "frontman") and the other one he was mostly on the right and back of the band. They don't follow the self imposed, non-obligatory well...and even "obligatory" "rules".

I really enjoyed this reaction. The look on your face just said "hell yea right on"

Lateralus is a must watch. Golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence all over it. Brilliant

Something to be said for every TOOL song, the whole band is AMAZING. they play their respective instrument expertly. is there a weak link there? I dont think so.

If you listen carefully, you can hear some spoken word behind most of the music. "Consume, Be fruitful, and Multiply" is Bill Hicks, and then there's either Keenan or Hicks reading out merch lists the rest of the song

I reference this at work with my tool fan coworker any time anyone says “you’re the man” in chats. I’ll go “if I’m the man then you’re the man and he’s the man as well”

Just an FYI this song is about an actual meeting of a "fan" and I love the idea that everyone who knows him will know this song is about him thinking he was going to try to school Mayard of all people. 🤣

Finally my favorite band... with one of the best FU's to fans that think a creative should live up to the image the fan has of them instead of be original and evolve.
