The Heart Sutra of Mahayana Buddhism as Explained by The Fourteenth Dalai Lama of Tibet

Support this channel by donating on PayPal:🧡 paypal.me/WhatWouldLoveDoNow Thank You! 🧡 In case this channel gets shut down, please subscribe to my new channel / @compassionmatters Thank you! His Holiness has three main commitments in life. Firstly, on the level of a human being, His Holiness’ first commitment is the promotion of human values such as compassion, forgiveness, tolerance, contentment and self-discipline. All human beings are the same. We all want happiness and do not want suffering. Even people who do not believe in religion recognize the importance of these human values in making their life happier. His Holiness refers to these human values as secular ethics. He remains committed to talk about the importance of these human values and share them with everyone he meets.
Secondly, on the level of a religious practitioner, His Holiness’ second commitment is the promotion of religious harmony and understanding among the world’s major religious traditions. Despite philosophical differences, all major world religions have the same potential to create good human beings. It is therefore important for all religious traditions to respect one another and recognize the value of each other’s respective traditions. As far as one truth, one religion is concerned, this is relevant on an individual level. However, for the community at large, several truths, several religions are necessary.
Thirdly, His Holiness is a Tibetan and carries the name of the ‘Dalai Lama’. Therefore, his third commitment is to work to preserve Tibet's Buddhist culture, a culture of peace and non-violence.

May we all be happy. May we all be well. May we all be safe. May we all live in peace and harmony with each other, ourselves, the earth and all that lives throughout time and space ♡
"All people are united in our pursuit of happiness and our desire to avoid suffering. This is the source of humanity’s greatest achievements. For that reason, we should begin to think and act on the basis of an identity rooted in the words 'we humans.'”

The day I suddenly understood the real meaning of the Heart Sutra as it affects my life was an explosive one. And in understanding it at last, I realised I had stripped it back to a very essential truth about emptyness. After that I could just enjoy its chanting, as it simply became a reminder to believe in this essential truth about the existence of all things.

Heart Sutra or as called in Sanskrit, "Pragya Parmita Hridaya Sutram" is about how you channelize your emotions (Hridaya) to your Pragya Parmita (curiosity).... Guru Dalai Lama has really been very humble to teach us about this Sutra.... I can't be more thankful

Buddhism IS religion. But... the acme of buddhism - the Heart Sutra - is NOT religion... It IS pure LOGIC and SCIENCE ))) Every SANE physicist IS agree with EVERY word of the Heart Sutra ))) I came to understanding of the Heart Sutra exectly through physics. Because physics shows us the CORE of reality !!! And the Heart Sutra does the SAME ))) Loved how Dalai Lama added even more COLORS to my understanding of EMPTINESS ))) And loved how Dalai Lama joked hilariously during this conversation ))) Greetings to all of the Buddhas in all of you !!!

Dependent beings have the nature of being dependent on others not just at a point in time but they are dependent on their nature at a certain level on other things!! But this is true only at a certain level?? A sweater is dependent on the person that wove the wool fibers into a sweater for its existing as a sweater, true!! The fibers are dependent on the sheep from where they were taken!! But if you look at it at a more fundamental level the fundamental particles that make up the sweater, the electrons, the protons and neutrons and the quarks that make up the protons and neutrons are actually point particles consisting of vibrating strings of energy, and that energy emerged from a total void!! Many of the particles existing today come from the initial appearance of something prior to which was a total void of no-time and no-space, no-dimensions whatsoever!! And that void is totally independent of anything whatsoever?? And so you can say that as far as the dependent nature of things that they are dependent on other factors for their existence, but looked at the most fundamental perspective all particles and all things are strongly emergent from total nothing!! So, matter-energy, time-space are even now have absolute nothing at their core?? Einstein said that the progression of time from past to future is merely a persistently stubborn illusion!! So, the assertion of the heart sutra is true form is empty and emptiness is form!’

It teaches us: "knowing = not knowing", and only when you understand "not knowing", then you can really say "knowing", and "knowing" itself is "not knowing". therefore, it is useless to "know" what "heart sutra" tries to teach us. @@jacpratt8608 i don’t? that’s funny. without the vow of Bodhisattva Never Disparaging, Buddhism is meaningless gibberish. Without the life span chapter, Buddhism has zero substance. Without the Lotus Sutra, Buddhism is just clever and empty. heck, without the vow of Bodhisattva Never Disparaging and the Life Span chapter, all religion is reduced to a dick-length competition. If all teachings pf all religions made that vow their prime point, we’d be well on the way to peace. Instead, we have just a lot of clever folks who think they’re so smart and faithful, but they can’t even base themselves on the sutras. Zen denies the Buddha’s Buddha Nature and is more like Devadatta in wanting to one-up the Buddha by throwing away his teachings. And Tibetan Buddhism bases itself primarily on teachings that were ultimately refuted by the Buddha in the sutras themselves, failing to trust the Buddha’s own words and reading their own arbitrary opinions into the Buddha’s work, setting their followers onto a path where Buddhahood can never be attained due to the limitations of the doctrines they emphasize. And, obviously, this here school promoting this video makes similar errors and thereby blocks the road to enlightenment while praising the Buddha. It’s a very sad state of affairs. You don’t know your own prime point.
