With the passing of James Gregory on May 9, 2024, in his adopted hometown of Chattanooga Tennessee , following cardiac complications just three days after celebrating his 78th birthday, the world lost a charismatic individual who was not only a notable figure but also a source of endless laughter for millions around the globe.
Despite his remarkable journey, the story of James Gregory may not be widely known. We talk about his early years and humble beginnings that eventually led him to become a comedy legend.
📌JAMES GREGORY FUNERAL SERVICE DETAILS
According to an obituary, James Gregory's funeral service to honor his life was held yesterday on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist Church of Hillmdale Lithonia. His remains were laid to rest at 1 o'clock with interment following in the family plot at Turner Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lithonia. Prior to the funeral, friends and mourners were received by the family on Wednesday, May 15th at 4:30 pm at Henry Funeral Home located at 6833 Church Street in Lithonia.
James Gregory is survived by his nieces Martha Anne, Mary Jane, and Candie Fox who lovingly referred to him as Uncle Bubba. He is preceded in death by both his parents, his brother Joe Melvin Gregory, sister Mary Emma Scoggins, as well as his nephews and great-nephews.

Born on the 6th May 1964 ? He was born in 1946 the same year I was born. It is not much of a tribute if you get his facts wrong. James was the funniest man I ever knew. i loved his humour. I will watch all his video's on KZread many times. May God Bless you James and thank you. You beautiful man. R.I.P.

He was just as nice of a person as he was a great comedian. I was a bartender at the Comedy House in Columbia, SC back in the late 90's early 2000's. James would be the headliner a couple times a month if not more. Great with the customers, and staff. He will be missed.

Extremely funny man with a great perception on life, which he portrayed so wonderfully to his audience. He will be greatly missed. Thank you for his back story, something I wasn't aware of until now.
I loved his comedy i never got to see him but I'm grateful to find his channel I've shared it with others and they like it RIP Mr Gregory 😢

Thank you for that correction.....I was thinking the exact same thing. I really wish the folks who post these vids would CAREFULLY check to make sure that they have their facts straight.
We can understand James Gregory's accent and need no captions. Can not understand narrator, captions needed.
