It’s good that videos like this exist. Everyone thought this way about the Vegas expansion draft and everyone likes to conveniently forget and declare the NHL gifted them a Cup contender. That irks me more than anything and I couldn’t care less about their success. But give credit where credit is due. My favorite take on this was your takedown of Colorado being run into the ground by Sakic. That may be worse then the entire Vegas video.

Yeah.... Well hockey is about good depth tbh and really hard to predict if you don't know jack shit about depth. Vegas knew what they are doing, they really got a good front office to run things. Who would've guessed they would win their conference and have been in playoffs every single year.. Looking forward if Seattle is gonna be as good as Vegas, people doubt it but I'm not saying anything anymore because I also said Vegas will suck..

Sure, the Knights did not play well their first big road trip, but you aren't considering that Vegas was playing their 4th string goalie during that stretch. The Knights are 7-3 their last ten 19-9-1 overall and just beat Nashville on the road, the Preds had been 11-2 at home before that game. The Stars aren't the best team but they aren't horrible either. The Knights beat them on the road a night after beating the Predators. EDIT: The Knights are now 10-0-1 in their last 11 with big wins over the Lightning, the Stars, the Kings, the Capitals, and Penguins... and are 25-9-2 overall, 2nd in the NHL for wins and points.

Well this aged well...

Obviously this aged beautifully, the best part was “I like josh Anderson better (than William karlsson), but not a terrible selection”

So interesting to watch after the Stanley Cup finals we just had.

And here we are ten months later with a band of misfits halfway to the cup after winning the first round against the Kings and the second round against the Sharks. Vegas LOVES the Golden Knights! Bring that cup home to the strip!

If it's any consolation, Marc-Andre Fleury got the biggest reaction of any player drafted. Thanks for the memories MAF; we'll miss you, but you deserve to be somewhere you can be the starter.

Sad to see him leave that way.. he didn't deserve to go for free but lets face it there is no way Penguins would hold a long for backup goalie who has almost 6 million dollar contract on him. Its just waste of cap space. But now he is for sure starter and to be fair that's where Fleury deserves to be.. in the net, not in the bench. Vegas is great opportunity for him to prove that he can still do it.

Looking back at this, I wouldn’t have this draft any other way. I’m proud of all the players and it seems like we picked the perfect team!

3 reason I think, 1: Canadian money is less stable than the US Dollar, which was one of the reasons the original Jets moved to Arizona, 2: The league wants it in the west and no western Canadian cities were in the looks for a team. 3: Las Vegas was a city without competition. Even other northern cities, like Portland and Seattle, have competition in the Trail Blazers and Seahawks respectively. (also, both of them have MLS teams, but I don't think anyone cares if I don't count that.) Granted, that ended horribly with the Raiders coming, but when we didn't know that, it was a good idea to get their team straight into full showing in a new market.

After NHL not allowing their players to go for the Winter Olympics just because it scheduled time is when NFL has just ended and MLB haven't yet started, so NHL basically would get more viewers in that 2 weeks of time when Olympics are held.. Im not surprised at all after seeing that, that new NHL team is gonna be in Vegas what is not hockey town at all. NHL cares only about that one thing and we all know what it is. But really i don't blame them so much because most of the companies are just after the money just like NHL and Bettman are.
