The biggest problem is Dwight Howard can't stay on a team longer than one year. This is actually his second stint with the Lakers, and chances are he'll be on another team next year if they decide not to keep him well past this season.

The problem was never with Dwight Howard's ability, that was always there. Thats why he keeps getting signed. The problem with him was how injury prone he is and how much of a cancer he could be to any locker room. And the fact the Lakers know this personally and still crawled back to him is the punchline, hence the non-guaranteed contract.

Dwight is averaging 7.6 PPG and 7.7 RPG right now, not a double-double but he's been efficient

The Real Guide to the NBA Season: ATL: Team has some really nice young talent that could take them to the playoffs within the next couple of seasons. Trae Young is basically if Lonzo Ball lived up to the hype, John Collins is solid down low, and they have some nice young pieces to play with. BOS: Kemba Walker is the perfect replacement for Kyrie because he essentially Kyrie without all of the pinash, and is a much better locker room presence. Also, don't forget but the Celtics managed to snag Enes Kanter this off-season, and Tatum and Brown can now FINALLY begin to properly develop. Also, Tacko Fall is the new Taysom Hill of the NBA. BRK: The new KD/Kyrie duo can lead the Nets to the NBA finals especially considering the fact that they have one of the deepest Rotations in the league (Dinwiddie, LeVert, Allen, DJ, Kurucs, etc. Now let's just see if these two's ego step all over each other or not, they're good friends, but Kyrie's gonna have the team to himself this year. CHA: Charlotte screwed themselves, but at least they're going in a direction for once... CHI: This team need to trade for a big name star as soon as possible. They have a ton of solid pieces (Lauri, Thad, Dunn, Coby, OPJ, WCJ, etc.), but they're NEVER gonna legitimately contend until they're able to maybe flip some of their assets. Perhaps a Bradley Beal/KAT Pairing on the horizon? CLE: Ain't got anything optimistic for yoy guys, just tank for the next few years, and try to become the Chicago Bulls; and TRADE KEVIN LOVE ALREADY! DAL: I'm so glad that KP is back in time for the start of the season, Barring injuries, the double Dirks are going to be exciting to witness, and if this team can upgrade their role players, then Mark CUban may not need to hire an FBI agent again. DET: Just tank already, you're going nowhere anytime soon. DEN: I fee like, in comparison to the more veteran led squad in the west, that people are overrating this team. Yes, they have Jokic, Murray, Barton, good young role players, and MPJ if his body cna have a consistency stronger than paper, and while I think that this team has a very bright future right now, I don't see this team making it to the Conference Finals or being a 3rd seed like some people are saying, in my opinion. GS: The only good thing about this team this year is the possibility of Steph averaging 35 points a game, and that's if he can get used to this new team and system first. HOU: A wise tree once said "Now you have two players that will vanish come playoff time", well Rus sis CP3 but worse. Conflicting play-styles, both Harden and Russ are ball-dominant, while CP3 could shoot threes, Russ can't for the life of him, and beyond them its Capela, Gordon, and scrubs. This organization is clearly desperate to win a championship, but they probably won't. IND: My main concern with this team is roster turnover, and the fact that Oladipo may be out long enough to ruin this teams' season. I like Brogdon, Lamb, Sabonis, and Warren (and don't forget Bitadze), but this team is not anything all that special to me tbh. LAC: Jerry West did it. The madman did. He managed to bring in two top ten NBA players to go along with some good, energetic role players in a complete power-play. Now the only thing stand in this teams' wya is the Clippers Curse. LAL: I mean, they got Anthony Davis. Also, why is Tree overrating BI, Zo, and Hart when Anthony Davis should be completely worth the cost, and why is Tree underestimating the Lakers' role players? The three young pieces have not shown any true promise while in a Lakers' uni, and I feel like once this team gets into a rhythm, this team can definitely make the conference finals. MEM: The Triple J's (Ja, Jaren, and JV) are going to be fun to watch develop in the 509; especially Ja. MIA: Jimmy Butler is a locker room cancer, and this team isn't making it past the second round. Bam, Herro, Nunn, and Dragic ARE looking nice though... MIL: Giannis is an MVP front-runner, and this team actualy did a relatively good job of replacing Brogdon. I mean it's either your second best player on the team or a guy who you didn't need until the later rounds of the playofs (who imo is replaceable). However, like Tree, I think GIannis will choke one more time in the finals before winning a 'chip because daramatic NBA MyCareer story. MIN: Andrew Wiggins is a lazy slob. Trade KAT already... please????? NO: Ooodles and noodles of young talent that can actually be developed around a guy can has the chance of being a generational talent (if he doens't end up like Oden). NY: The Knicks were fun to laugh at, and the thing about this team is that they're not that bad on paper. DSJ, RJ, Knox, Portis, Randle, Mitchie, Trier, Payton, Ellington, Gibson, etc. are legitimate players who would be a great supporting cast for a star (if the Knicks weren't the Knicks), and if they can develop a legit culture, and not screw up this team for star chasing, they can have a playoff team built around RJ in a few years. Unfortunately, this team is not getting a top 3 pick this year..., and James Dolan will probably screw this up. ORL: Am I the only person who thinks this team is overrated? The Charlotte Bobcats made the playoffs in 2010, and due to their incompetence/tanking, they went 7-59 two years later. Along with that, the Magic are almost as incompetent as Charlotte, and this team isn't going ANYWHERE. OKC: Here's to a completely meaningless season as you try to trade CP3, Adams, Schroder, and Gallo. PHI: Talented, great length, but no shooting, and their bench is going to have to step up like the Nugget's bench did last season. PHX: This team has a superstar duo in the making in D-Book, and Ayton but the Suns are completely incompetent so they'll screw this up somehow. POR: Here's to another season of Dame and CJ trying their darndest to win a championship. Then again, if the Clippers, Lakers, and Rockets choke/fall apart, Dame COULD finally get his (team a) championship. SAC: Fox, Hield, and Bagley are solid, and you got some nice role players for your team (they're a bbit pricey but no one REALLY wants to go to Sactown). However, that Barnes contract may be a snapshot, and a microcosm of what may be to come considering Vivek hasn't died yet. SA: Welcome to endless mediocrity Spurs, the only reason why you're still here is because of Gregg Popovich. TOR: Do not underestimate Pascal Siakam. I'm confident for the most part that this man will lead the Raptors into a new era, and with some replacements, this team could content for an Eastern Conference title very soon. UTH: Conley and Bogdanovic were great pickups, and the Warriors are not around to completely expose Rudy anymore. Maybe this team can actually make it to the conference finals WSH: Just.. trade Bradley Beal already JEEEEEEEEEZ...

Having worked in restaurants for the past 4 years, when GS was at its peek, nearly every game night had the bar area filled. During playoffs the whole restaurant would be full of reserves who came strictly for the game all wearing GS apparel. GS transformed the atmosphere here in the Bay Area, I am sure millions still rally behind Curry and the warriors but the hype is dying down. I am just glad to have witnessed all since Mark Jackson was coaching but I am also excited in seeing how this season will turnout with all of the great new talent shifted around and so.

@Bruh Really I live in Windsor but am staying with relatives in Oakland because of the Kincade fire. Either way I got to see some awesome murals of the warriors here in Oak and Richmond which was cool. Although even Draymond came out on press stating that the warriors suck it's even more awesome to see how well the 49ers are playing being debated as to whether or not they are the no1 team in the NFL. BTW I am a fan of the San Diego Chargers and Boston Celtics but I will always support the local home teams. One thing I am an actual fan locally is the San Jose Sharks. The 707 is on top of the leaderboards when it comes to sports this decade 💪

I only now realized that whenever the Chicago and Memphis NBA teams play, it's literally Bulls vs. Bears. The closest analog we have to that in the NFL is the Chicago Bears vs. Buffalo Bills (bison on their helmets, and maybe the city name counts (even though it's probably an Indian word that just happened to sound like "buffalo")) or maybe the Dallas COWboys or Green Bay Packers (originally founded by meatpackers; based in "America's Dairyland"). What else is there?
