He is the lead by example dad for sure. I watch 10th Generation dairy farmer and Welker Farms. All have fathers that work their butts of for the farms. The veggie boys with harvesting and running a store are second to none.

Rather high potassium and phosphorus, probably great for dirt grown crops. Where i live most don't or won't grow in contaminated soil. Our containers do pretty darn good with balanced numbers. I kinda miss playing in the dirt but Norfolk and Southern did us pretty dirty.

I tried your method of growing cucumbers this year in Florida. I also grew some on a fence as I usually do. What I found was that pickle worm was much worse in the fence cucumbers. The ground vines started getting powdery mildew first but they lasted just as long as the fence grown vines. Our cucumber season ended in May, so my trial is complete. I'll switch to growing all my cucumbers like you do next year. Thanks for the lesson.

Andrew, I know I say this a lot. But, I really love watching your channel and I appreciate you sharing your family's life and farm. I was wondering if you ever bring the leaves/ discarded greens to give to the chickens and cattle as a supplement to their diet? I know when I was younger, we did both leave in the field to compost as well as give to our chickens and cattle. Especially the corn husks and cobs.. they loved them. It is so hard to believe it is already harvest time on the farm. Bless you and your family. Until next time, your friend in Oregon , JoNi.
