The Hardest Trail Ever
Спорт
This is easily the hardest mandatory trail I've ever had the pleasure of riding. Sadly it is on the chopping block, and by the time you watch this it might not even exist anymore. Glad to have pieced (almost) all of it together with Braden, @VanCan and @ddangerousddave before it turned to moon dust, enjoy!

It's honestly not that hard. I rode it last week clipped in on a penny farthing with no freewheel while juggling 3 oranges with one hand and holding my sandwich with the other hand.

I genuinely can't think of a single gnarlier trail that has quite as many mandatory pro-lines as this one; there are precisely zero ride arounds here. Thanks to the builder for having the eye to craft such a masterpiece. Unfortunately I hear it's imminently on the chopping block, and may not even exist by the time you watch this video. Enjoy the four of us picking it apart!

No words. That’s the most relentless succession of ridiculous features I’ve seen on a trail. Amazing effort to you and the gang for even attempting, let alone successfully riding the majority of it. And wow, now it’s 75k… the milestones are ticking by fast!
Thank you for documenting your daily near-death adventures for our entertainment.
Its a shame this had to go. But I'm not surprised. Props to the builder. It was a beauty.
It’s a shame that this beauty will disappear! Thanks for preserving it for us and allowing us to ride it vicariously (I think that’s my preferred way😂)

When riders of that quality are walking, you know it’s hard!!
When Dale goes slow, she's a toughy
Sick! Looks like a very fun and well built trail with the wood features and the waterbars.
Crazy trail. Thanks for sharing.
I surely would not come out of this trail w/o injury and wounded pride. Great listening to the sessioning talk and doing different lines. DING! 75K+ subs!

You're catching up to VanCan! Congrats on 75K!
I saw that Braden used clipless pedals, do you notice he sometimes has advantages because of that (on technical climbs, for example). Here in Belgium, almost everyone uses clipless pedals so it's nice to see this in the video

What an amazing build!, good riding team.
That was so fun. I can't ride that severe of a technical trail anymore, but I can see what you are doing as you session these features. Too old and visually impaired for this but enjoy watching it.
Wow this vids a heater! Love these kinda of trails. Makes me wonder what else is out there in my local mtns here in SLC.
Let me slap some commonsense into you! ;) That was insane!
RIP to that Stanchion
Title is no lie. DANG. I couldn't even walk that trail without falling, while sober.
Very col to see Braden back in front again. When I first stumbled across your channel a few years back, the majority were just you and him hitting the trails!

Same. Braden, Dave and Dale all on yellow Norcos. Amazing how Dale’s channel has exploded since then.
While out of my comfort zone it's a pity that these extreme level trails get chopped out. We have a few down south in WA that survive due to flying low on the radar even though the public land management agency fully knows they exist.

That trail's grade must be almost straight down in terms of the downhill angle. Camera don't do elecation changes justice, but anyone can clearly see that this trail definitely will kick your butt. The last feature looked like the easiest.
Wow!
Nice bell timing.
Masterpiece of building.. sucks to hear it may get decommissioned? After only a year? Development or land manager worried about it?
Awesome vid! Someday I want to get to ride BC (not this one though lol ) but always unfortunate when trails get axed. @dalestone Who was the fourth rider (not nick/dave obviously) leading you through everything (if he doesn't want to be named I can respect that no worries. Hey Dale great mtb skills... It's been a while that I'm watching your videos and I was wondering if you changed any settings from the last videos with the dji action 3. This one seems to have a much better focused image compared to the previous ones, I don't know if it's just me or what, anyway if you will manage to get videos as nice as this one with different lighting conditions if believe I would convince myself onto buying one action 3. Not every trail needs to be posted online. This trail is far too sensitive to get the extra traffic this video will bring.

@olik136

I don't get it- what could be "sensitive" about any trail or this one specifically?
@DaleStone
Жыл бұрын
In general mainly unsustainable building for weather or land owner sensitivity.
@benrogers7025
Жыл бұрын
@@olik136The local gov't tends to go after built up features way quicker than natural trails. Wooden structures and dirt work are also far easier for the district to decomission than a rock slab or a loamer for example. The trail isnt terribly well hidden or armoured and the extra traffic, combined with how steep it is, could blow stuff out and make for some shitty riding pretty quick. It's all still pretty new and it hasn't been established whether the land owners are willing to turn a blind eye. (Like some other "secret" shore trails that have been common knowledge for a long time).
@DaleStone
Жыл бұрын
All true. Just remember that there is no statistically significant correlation between a video being posted and an appreciable increase in traffic (even when the trail is named), take a look: imgur.com/a/uoou0sP. Also it's not on the shore!
