The team is ready for testing their new Fireblade Superbike, but it's not just the bike that's tested to the limit in the Spanish sunshine. It's hard work in the big class, and the team have to learn fast!

Thank you so much for taking the time to do these. Really appreciate the behind the scenes stuff as it brings the whole endeavour to life. Makes me wish I could contribute to the effort but I'm a potless old codger. So, my involvement will have to remain vicarious. Go Franco!

Thank you Dave for another great episode. All that work will pay off when he podiums! It just takes a lot of time and people to get there. From what I’m seeing from Honda there are quite a few teams getting the same data with all the new riders. Fingers crossed and have a safe trip home. Cheers from California.
total respect
Great video I would love to be involved in this sport but at 63 that chance has gone but watching this video goes to show what amount of work is put in and how involved you have to get with tiny little changes and is so hard to comprehend to us mortals I wish the whole team best of luck and franco is happy with his season results I will be following and might pop to snetterton and hopefully meet you all bye for now
Brilliant video once again Dave. It must be an absolute nightmare with so many things you can change and each one presumably effecting something else. I'm glad you found a lot of stuff that doesn't work though. I imagine the smaller window you have to play with on settings the more chance you have of getting something that's going to work well. Hope it's dry for Donnington but seeing as it's barely stopped raining since November it seems unlikely!

Speak to Havier and ask to see his engine preheater……. We run one on the Moto3 and the 2 Aprilia bikes, both water, oil engine casings everything at 72deg . Many many advantages to running preheater.

A floating rear disc?! Very trick 👌👍 Did Franco prefer the thumb rear brake or the scooter brake?
@obsession_engineering

He likes the thumb, although he could lap as fast with the scooter
Great content of the tech and conversations showing the work of the team. I would say tho, I would struggle to work with your rider based on his need to blame you for the crash. He knew the bike was pattering in the front end yet didn't back off his pace. Crashing is part of the struggle of bike racing, but if the rider can't except his part in what happened its makes for a difficult working environment going forward IMO, which is worth about 2 cents of #uc# all.

Nice video thanks for bringing us along. Hope all goes well for the season. Just reluctantly had to buy a 08 600RR, screams like a banshee but my RGV250P was still better imo(now 2x the price of the RR). Thinking hard about getting a Suter slipper clutch, so if you got any discount codes, wink wink. lol . If you ever get a chance to stick Franco on a Suter 500 would be great to see that video. Thanks

I.m watching alr3ady all the series, great work and learned some thi gs many times. Question, i just got an RVP25 equipped bike, and can.t find the rotors code on em. Can u pretty please share this code with me? I presume is the t drives pista bassa?
@obsession_engineering

Our rotors were made specifically for us, brembo are good at making small production batches if required. Dimensions depend on wheels, yoke spacing, disc diameter... So getting off the shelf might be difficult
Hi Dave well I watched Franco today at a very windy Donnington park.. Considerating you are usig a Honda uk engine from Honda UK (louth) why is Franco so far behind the rest of the Honda entries.. He is struggling to get into the 1.30's I'm a fan but you need to get this together before the start of the season.. :0

Why don't they have an element on the bottom of the sump that you plug in like a tyre warmer with a little led light on the dash thats tells you when its over 50.C without turning the bike on?

why does the technician / developer NOT test-drive a moped made for race-rider ? a cummunication is enough for the set-up ? ...and are smaller pit-bikes like "Jan LangTuning" or "Davy-Todd" their also to set up ...if franko ask for a gokart-track object ....?
@obsession_engineering

With testing restrictions and me not being anywhere near as fast as Franco, it'd be tough for me to set the bike up for him myself

@@obsession_engineering hour's , second's and part of a second could mean nothing - it is not a excuse ! different rider's bring more result , maybe ...also to reduce the cost (pre load with gas is cheap but replace a spring is more expensiv) not involved people (viewers) it were hard to belive to set-up a vehicle perfectly ; example yzf-r i like the fork but with ~85kg plus helmet ,clothes etc. i disslike the rear swing arm to the rear shock absorber it stears "to heavy" like a chap with a harley d. 🤮
