Honda Help! Trying to find a base setting for BSB. Behind the scene's at Rapid Honda Donington test
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Testing in Spain was tough for the new Rapid Honda BSB team, and getting back on UK soil hasn't proved any easier. But with a little help from Honda can Dave and the boys get Franco going faster?

Another brilliant video Dave, thankyou for taking the time to show us how it all works in the garage, I'm honestly on the edge of my seat waiting for the next bit of news to be relayed to us, lovely to see the lads humour there as well, here's wishing Franco and the whole team the very best of luck for the '24 season.

Thanks, we'll definitely be doing our best!!
One of the best, if not the best insights into a BSB teams trials and tribulations of testing and getting a set up. Times have certainly changed from a hammer shaft for a fuel tank dip stick and jotting down suspension changes on a note pad that I used to do. Fantastic that you make such an effort to provide superb content for us to enjoy, you can sense it’s a happy team from the video and it’s going in the right direction and hopefully will that continue. Really looking forward to more videos, thank you and good luck for the season, give the lads in the team a big thumbs up😊

Thanks Phil, we all appreciate your kind words 👍🏼
As always a superb video. Amazes me how you find time to go through it all on camera for us and the input from the rest of the team and Franco. Hope for a positive season ahead and some more top quality content.
Almost an art to see u interpret the numbers and graphs and put it into practical settings for the kid.
I helped out a few BSB lads in the past. One thing I learned with the privateer teams is that they spend WAY too much time chasing settings and mulling over datalogging when they're 3-4 seconds off the pace. I was with a certain ex frontrunner SSP rider when one of the privateers we were helping asked him for advice to which he replied 'open the throttle more'. I never forgot that, and neither did the rider lol.

Once we found a setting Franco liked, we barely changed anything. We know bike and rider can both be better, so we don't stop looking for improvements with either 😊
8:20 the sound of the bmw off throttle is insane
Team rapid honda looking real smart, looking forward to being trackside at donington. Wishing you all the sucsess for 2024 I'm sure franco will have a strong season. 💪 Dave fab vid as always, I can't get enough info to learn from. Every vids a lesson, brilliant. Go well guys an girls. 👍
Best of luck for the new season lads.
Good evening Dave…..so looking forward to this year’s championship, Go Team Franco…Rapid HCL…👍👌🇮🇲💪🏆
Top video. Simple and to the point. Looking forward to the season following the team.
Fantastic video Dave! First person view of the inner sanctum of a privateer. Franco, Matt, Pete, Dave & yourself are giving everything a red hot go! All the best for this weekend Round 1! You all deserve a pat on the back!
You guys work so hard the behind the scenes activity is a real eye opener and a massive reality check! Thanks a million!! ✊🏻
Love seeing the inside of how the team operates and gets on through a weekend
Franco looks brilliant on the bike with the livery, leathers, helmet combo
I love Franco’s optimism still pulling it which is great. All the best to you and the team this weekend. go on Franco live up to your word 😉#1 👍
Excellent vlog Dave, luv the behind the scenes stuff, long may it continue. The very best to the team and Franco for BSB 24.
Thanks Dave. I love these videos. As someone woo works in 4 wheel motorsport I find the insight into 2 wheels very informative and I love the crossover between the two. Always learning!
Looking forward to the racing and wish you all the best….so much effort is reflected here! Great insight into what’s involved 👍
Really enjoyed that - really made me feel like I was taken along on your journey - looking forward to the next video
As a BSB fan. This is a great watch, great to see the inside of the garage. Can’t wait to see the Navarra review
Would say round 1 was a result, well done. No offs or machanicals in the races. Don't know about prac and qual. Only seen about 1 and 1/2 mins of each race. But aiming to get to Donington Park and Thruxton. 👍
All the best of luck and skills for a great season.
Thanks again for another fantastic upload. Just lovin' the updates. You guys are looking sooo professional now. I can confirm as a Bike mag subscriber I look for the Franco team updates every issue and, yes, for some reason it is so easy to be sucked in to following the team. I was watching your vids and reading the stuff in the mag when it suddenly clicked you were involved with Franco, Pete and the team which just gave it so much more relevance. Looking forward to cheering you on trackside at least one round this year; with chocs to hand in of course! 😋 Go Rapid Franco🏁

Great video Dave.
This channel is bloody brilliant.Dave your inspiring.I am really enjoying watching this journey.Give it some welly this year Franco!!
Another great video.
That was a massive step forward Dave. Who made those verniers, that was not funny. . Love the detail . Thank you for the first time ever with that much data in a BSB pit! Cheers Rich
Great video again Dave, would be interesting if Franco could tell us how he started racing and his path to BSB. Thanks 👍
Humble pie doesn't taste as good as Choc malted milk biccy. At least the vernier cock -up was in testing so and it must've been sort of satisfying to know the settings worked when proven correct.
I love these videos 👌

Gift of the gab Steve, that's all 🤣
Loving these videos Dave. Best of luck for Navarro this weekend and the season ahead. I imagine that malted milk biscuit helped your fried brain from looking at laptop data. It must be a minefield with every change effecting something else. I imagine it's very easy to go down a rabbit hole and then to paraphrase a youtube mechanic/racer/crew chief's innuendo find yourself in the wrong hole.

And we don't want to end up there 🤔
Is it a BSB riders 2024 regulation hair cut as Josh has the same mullet! If it makes 0.5 sec, go with it.
Worth the slog lads.
Getting there. Mid of the table, and just behind Danny. Not bad at all. Should always clean jaws and zero each time you use. Nice to see chirpy Dean. Had to chuckle when Franco said "cuddle". Bet he brings his fav teddy to the races. lol.
