I worked with them for 3 years-two of the best people ever-that's Jim,with the guitar, and John with the tamborine.R.I.P. to them both.

Oh wow. That's cool. I always thought their harmony was so good ... of course being twins - but they had great voices to begin with. I used to watch HH whenever it was on ... learned banjo, steel, and bass (my main instrument now). Bobby Thomspson was one that amazed me. Super humble guy and a player way ahead of his time. Glad to hear the Hagers were great people too.

I grew up with them in Des Plaines-Park Ridge Maine Twp HS. I a soph they juniors. Under hs music director Glenn Jorian an operatic soloist of hi rank. The all hs elective Choir of cummul 4 year always practiced several focused performances but the year end full Messaih / GF Handel was the piazz pizza took work out of all 500 + of us, They and many of were real cut ups, but no fools. Jorian taught us ho to breathe and mostly love music. Ji-Jo you got those silver wings I think. Joy RIP for a while. Don`t split, they'll find another tuned harmoneutically pair for the next score of music. May we all fall ripe and ready to romp up the scale again. It's never over. Rests flats and sharps we'll sing um all.

I wish there was a higher quality recording of their version of this song. I prefer their emphasis and inflection over B&D's, or even BW Stevenson's.

. . .a truly beautiful variation of the original ... at least equal to , if not surpassing , the original . . . . . ... .. . . exquisite .. a shining ☀️🌝🌝✨, stellar 🎆 performance ...🎶🎸🎵🎧😊.. just my humble opinion . . .. ..maybe not taken seriously enough .. . .. . .because of their 'Hee Haw' connection🤔😟 ... really too bad .. should have been superstars .. 🤔🤨 . snobbery 😤😤😤 & city 'elitism 😤. 😭😭 stopped them from rising in the music world .. they could have done so much more ... I will always miss them ...I had no idea they passed🤯😨😩 😔😔😔😕😭😭😭 never missed an episode of 'Hee Haw' as a kid .. Looked forward to them every show ... . truly .. the best thing about that show😃 was the Hagars 🦊🦊 ..😃😊☺️😁🎶🎸🎵📺👀👍👍❤️. two very talented guys ..💎💎💘💗💞💖. So sorry they are gone ..😕😩😭😭. That's how Brooks & Dunn got that arrangement which they saw the Hagers did a cover of that song. I may be wrong but sill a great song written by B.W Stevenson.

B&D has far too much twang and sometimes do not sing on pitch (reaching those high notes). Hagers didn't have pitch correction - didn't need it.
