To them, "democracy" is the right of a community's right-thinking people to set standards. And those standards can be as high as they want. True. I fear that people focus too much on the goofball Trump. Sure, he is dangerous but the danger won't be over with him in prison or gone. In a way, he's the perfect decoy for Republicans. He's goofy, he's outrageous and nobody takes him seriously. Everyone will watch what Trump does, while other Republicans will subvert the Constitution. That's why I don't want Trump gone from the ballots this November, because if that would happen, I fear Republicans who don't like Trump, independents and Democrats who don't like Biden will breathe a sigh of relief and vote for the "sane" Republican nominee. The problem is, any sane democracy-loving Republican has any chance of securing a place on the ballot. But if Trump is still on the ballot, people will remain vigilant against the threat.

In the 1920's and 1930's, Germany was a well-functioning democracy until it wasn't. German women were allowed to vote, something their neighbours the French weren't allowed to do until much later. If someone would have said in 1920 that Germany would descend into a dictatorship and end up divided into two separate countries after a devastating world war, nobody had believed it, and yet it did occur. We must never make the grave mistake of taking democracy for granted.

God, I hate these times. This is what happens when you let big money into politics. We get horrible candidates that dont care about hard working Americans and only work for more corporate power, i.e. price fixing, tax breaks for the wealthy, wars, the buying of the privatized media, hospitals, land etc. If we could all agree to protest Citizens United, protest for term limits, put caps on how much one person can donate to one candidate, put a cap on how much campaigns can spend on a campaign and make these politicians form only a grassroots campaign and for heaven sakes get rid of the electoral college maybe just maybe the rats in government would be gone and wouldnt try so hard to destroy this country and those that actually want to help the average tax payer and american families get a leg up so they can raise their own kids instead of working 2 jobs each. We have crime, gun violence, theft, more than ever because no one in government is looking out for the little guy. People are desperate. Also get rid of religion in politics. Make it illegal to mention religion in campaigns because its a belief system and everyone has a different idea of what God is and no one has any idea or proof what happens after we pass on. I have a feeling we are all wrong about that and unaliving each other over that for no good reason. We need more compassion than more divisive topics please.

Our system is based on big money… ‘greed’ (=fiduciary duty) being the backbone of corporate capitalism. (Corporations are the job creators. Notice how the small family farm is no longer even a financially viable option, as a proof.) Clearly (at least it should be) corporations have far more control over gov’t than the citizens-as they are the revenue creators. So to think we could collectively choose to go backwards, like to our less corrupt youth-taking away the power of the powerful, especially now that the system is fully mature-is not logical nor plausible possibility. But, I would also say that this state we are in is meant to be obvious to us-so that we can (at least desire to) make a choice for something better. Now having said that-I do actually have an idea of what happens ‘after’… But it also goes hand in hand with the knowledge that we actually need to be ‘faithful’-in the sense of trusting in our Creator-and specifically to stop trusting in ‘man’, (and even ourselves). And it entails the recognition that there are indeed fundamental spiritual laws that we ought to learn to abide by-such as doing to others as we would have them do to us. Etc… Part of what is occurring now (which I’m asserting as a ‘known’ fact to me) is what is called ‘the rebellion’. It was forecasted a long time ago, and it shows trump (who is called the ‘little horn’ in the OT bible), as rising up to power specifically when that ‘rebellion’ (by the so-called faithful people of God) has reached its full measure. now I won’t say much more about it, other than the following quote, take note of the last sentence. Daniel 8:23 “In the latter part of their reign, when the rebellion has reached its full measure, an insolent king, skilled in intrigue (otherwise translated as ‘a master of intrigue’), will come to the throne… He will destroy the mighty men along with the holy people. Through his craft and by his hand, he will cause deceit to prosper, and in his own mind he will make himself great.” (This ‘prosperity of deceit’ is how he destroys them-as it leads them into lawlessness-in the spiritual sense, which causes them to fall from grace; essentially separating the wheat from the chaff.) (My advice is to forget about politics and its snares and focus more on how to live rightly, but again by not allowing oneself to be ‘darkened’ by all the ‘lawlessness’ that we are observing in the media circus that is surrounding trump and the related politics.)

Somewhere between the creation of Heritage Foundation and Bill Clinton's Presidency they started morphing into fascist terror what they've now become. Trump is seeking to have power that only a dictator would normally have. This means America is on the verge of total collapse considering 1/3 rd of the country is blindly pushing for this and is technically enough to make it happen. Trump is anti truth =anti Christ… So what is going on that Christian’s are supporting this? Look at your own comment, do you feel compassion and have understanding for this journalist who is apparently deeply concerned about what is happening or does it make you angry and want to see their faces get rub into it? His first term did not end in 2019. When Trump faces any challenge, he is incapable of acting swiftly and smartly. His negligence and stupidity is responsible for over 100,000 deaths. He gave tax breaks to the rich. He promises and he never delivers. Ask union people with functioning brains who have not been brainwashed. They know how he lied to them and failed them.
