The saddest part was AFTER destroying her whole family,... He took Dylans life away IN FRONT OF HER,.. I can't imagine what this child endured to have you're ENTIRE family took from you and witness you're brothers last breath,.. THIS GUY IS PURE EVIL

I live in idaho. My daughter was in a program with Shasta. She really has had a very hard time as an adult. I wish everything good for her.

Should have been dealt with on the Spot!! They saved that little Girls Life! Lucky I was not a cop that found him.

This story is traumatic just to investigate and read about, i cant imagine the trauma its vaused this young lady! Bless her heart!

He ended her little brother but kept her for 6 weeks. I can't imagine what that poor child endured.

No disrespect here but it might sound that way: you say, “Your angels are with you.” but what about the rest of her family? Even her brother was killed in front of her after the abduction. Were those angels on a lunch break?

I read this book about their story many years ago. Boy did it freak me out.

A waitress working at the Denny's recognized Shasta & told manager who called cops.

I remember this. He murdered their family. Kidnapped and r@ped them. He decided he didn't want Dylan anymore and shot and killed him in front of her. 6 weeks later, he was arrested. She went to her father after that, as he was the only one left. He was so devastated by what happened. He just looked so broken. Then they found out he had cancer. Horrible horrible stuff.

I remember this. He saw the kids playing in the yard and watched them for days before he did what he did. Wiped out her family. Poor little girl. I hope she's o.k. now. That's enough to mess up any child.

​@@tammyeaton4791 if I remember correctly, it wasn't too long after this whole horrible thing happened that her father was diagnosed with cancer...and I believe has since passed away. 😢

I live 1/4 mile from that Denny's restaurant where she was finally recovered...She has had a very difficult life since this cruel monster entered her life. She has struggled with addictions, homelessness, toxic relationships & more, none of which is her fault. Please offer up continued prayers for Shasta that she may one day encounter the Living God who loves her deeply & wants her to heal. I hope there are ppl in her life that are able to support her. That man is responsible for the still open & weeping wounds he spiritually, emotionally & psychologically inflicted upon her -The once innocent, tender hearted child, was left destroyed as a battered & broken-hearted human being; & with intention, malice & forthought, maniacally eviscerated her soul.

Where was her brother? I hope he and she are ok. Rest in peace to the family

And even BEFORE this gruesome murder scene, he kidnapped and killed a 10 yr old boy named ANTHONY MARTINEZ from the town I live near…Beaumont CA…😞so sad he was able to kill so many…

And Dillon, was he found alive, also?

Shasta & Dylan survived the original murders of their mother, father & older brother - they were both kidnapped by the murderer, who later killed Dylan. Shasta was the only child who ultimately survived.
