The grown children. Making them "take a side" is evil.
I think I can explain the widower having a great second marriage. They realize how they took the first spouse for granted and determined not to do it with second. Also being older they have the time to devote to marriage.
Married for 34 years, separated the last 4 years. At this point why go through the expense, drama, and stress of a divorce. He simply took what he wanted including all his pension, annuities, and personal expenses and l kept mine. He pays for his new household and l pay for mine. We haven’t spoken to each other in the last year because there is really nothing to say. This scenario works for us. 🧘🏽♀️
