Greece won Portugal twice , France and Czechia who were the best team at that point. That's a legit achievement.

I was 11 years old at the time but the memory of every greek screaming in joy in every game will never fade away. Quite literally everyone and their mothers were invested, good times
the only non greek who won "greek of the year" award. we called him Rehakles back then.👍
The silver goal rule was in play, so against Czechia, Rehaggel was just asking his players to stay grounded for a few more seconds after they scored, not asking them to keep their composure for another 15 minutes.
There was no extra 15 minutes. It was a Silver Goal. Finished right after he scored because the first 15 minutes were up 😃
Otto Rehhagel won the Bundesliga with FCK, after playing in the 2nd division the season prior and won the Euros with Greece. How insane is this?
❤❤
As for the comment at 9:40 about the Greeks keeping their composure the for last 15 minutes. That was the last play of the match. The game ended. There was no more time to be played. Greece advanced to the FINAL!
Update: The club rivarly discussed at 2:45 is as alive as ever.
Till today Scolari does not understand that defeat😂 but he made a mistake playing Christiano as a winger. He was inexperienced especially against an opponent who knew how to defend. I never understand why Deco did not play for Brasil. For his position he had no competition in the team
You are too young to remember the silver goal.
Greece the euro champion 2004 and greek team Olympiacos 2024 Europa Conference Leage.😊
after the greek goal against czechia , the time left was not 15 minutes like u said ,but under one minute !! do ur homework !!
Panathinaikos ☘️reached the European Champions Final in 1971 against Cruyff's Ajax and 2 semi final against Liverpool 1985 & Ajax 1996 it's the most successful Greek FC the last 53 years The whole Euro 2004 miracle was based on Panathinaikos 2000-2003 team 8 Panathinaikos players played for Greece 2004
Panathinaikos dude ! half of Greek national team back then was from Panathinaikos f.c !
