Mate, you can't just tell people to watch the documentary, you gotta also tell them when you steal from it to make your own video.
ya know, considering the final piece BlueScuti needed to crash the game was a J piece, I'd like to think that it was Jonas reaching from beyond the grave to give him the game crash

That never occurred to me that it was a J piece that was placed to trigger the score calc routine crash, damn you glitched colour schemes.

I WAS LITERALLY JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS TODAY ITS SO POETIC
I'd be willing to bet the classic Tetris community wouldn't exist at all without Jonas. Every other name from the early days absolutely contributed, but had Jonas not been here, I really don't think it would have ever gained traction.

Either it never would've or it would've taken a lot longer then it did.. at the minimum he brought it into the forefront much sooner than it otherwise would've been... all tetris skills aside he was such a nice cool individual. They really don't make people like him.

Would've definitely taken longer.
Had no idea the J piece trophy was because of Jonas, thought people just wanted different pieces as trophies. That's so wholesome
It was such a shock to see the news of his passing. He really got me into competitive Tetris, and taught me how to play at a higher level. I’ll always appreciate what he did and who he was. A true legend. Truly the greatest of all time
I still can't believe he's gone. The good truly do die young.
The final piece of the first game crash was a j piece… R.I.P. king
We need to keep these types of videos up to show why Jonas is forever the GOAT of Classic Tetris. Already seeing younger members of the community disputing the fact that Jonas is the greatest to play the game. Not only for his championship dominance but most importantly his dedication to grow the community. Records get broken, new play styles are developed, and the talent continues to evolve at a shocking pace, but no player will ever have the impact on the game like Jonas did.
The quality of this video is insane, I thought this was made by a huge tetris channel. I gotta share this.

same here, but with this level of qulity the algorithm will catch up
As a modern tetris player who has a lot of respect for much of the classic community, the level of accuracy and dedication put into this video is immaculate

I'm classic player all the way. I would play modern, but it's too hard for me 😢
Jonas was the GOAT, RIP to not only a great Tetris player, but also a great human being
Damn wish Jonas could see how far Tetris has come in the last few years rip brother
Jonas ❤ his stacking was really so ahead of his time

Great video! KZread algorithm is really underrating this video.
Jonas may be the GOAT of Tetris, but he also had 🔥 taste in music. He was always playing the coolest stuff in his Twitch stream.
Just saw this vid on one of the classic tetris discords, and holy shit, great quality, great accuracy, why does it have no views wtf
crazy to think the first tetris tournament happened before bluescuty was even born
Excellent video and tribute to the greatest Tetris player of all time. He is truly missed.
I'm heavily invested in the Modern Tetris scene, formerly playing in and now hosting tournaments for it. It is completely accurate to say that I would not be anywhere close to as invested in the game without Jonas' presence, introducing me to classic and modern tetris alike, always treating folks like me like family. Ever since his passing, anything I would do would be in his name, trying to push the scene in a positive direction. I'm so proud of the classic players for pushing the game and the competitive scene to such heights, and I can't wait to see where everything goes. LYMYMI, Jonas
No matter how many views this video ends up getting, it will never be enough! This was so great and heartfelt, great job capturing Jonas' character.
Great job on the video. Crying all over again. Jonas and Heather are the greatest duo of all time.
This doc deserves more views imo. Very well put together. RIP Jonas
Jesus I'm watching this at 01:30 in the morning, and someone's cutting onions. Just recently started following Tetris and I didn't know this story. He seems like a wonderful person.
Great video. His final tournament victory came over Eric, who later won the CTWC. As a player in my 30's, I like to joke that Jonas' last act was to prove that the younger generation is fallable. He was a class act, not elitest in the slightest.
Absolutely incredible, thank you so much. I would love to see more videos like these focusing on other players or maybe just the recent tetris scene in general, there's a lot that has happened recently. You made an amazing video, hoping to see more :)
Just seeing jonas’ name makes me happy/sad all at once. Miss that dude.
Can hardly think of anyone more deserving of a tribute video like this. A true legend and inspiration, RIP
Thank you for doing this story justice ❤
I miss Jonas and miss those early days.
Awesome video. LYMYMI.
Thank you for a great video! R.I.P. Jonas...
I find the Tetris scene so damn interesting, it’s evolution over the past few years has been insane to watch

I love the way you say tetroNiMo lmao Anyway good tribute to jonas and very emotionnal video, RIP legend
Great video, thanks for the wonderful coverage and research!
We miss the legend and the man thank you for the video
Jonas is a legend of the game. Sure, many greats came after him and beat his records, but his dominance in his error was unmatched. Parallels could be made to Bobby Fischer in chess and Pete Sampras in tennis.
Such a great video! Thank you for this❤️
An incredible homage to an incredible individual. ❤ Amazing work, Frez!
This showed up on my page. Last night I started watching Jonas first twitch streams from 2017. He is sorely missed. When they changed the trophy to a J in his honour was the best.
Good man with a good story. Deserves a lot of telling. LYMYMI Friend. If I wasn't not drinking due to surgery recovery I'd be raising a glass right now.
Great video, sharing this for more to see.
This was amazing!! Great job on the video. Jonas was the greatest!!
I already teared up during the news coverage bits of Blu Scuties game crash. Jonas was such a loveable person (no offense Harry), I'm glad I got to know of him thanks to "Boom Tetris" Jeff and the youtube algorithm in 2016. Thanks for the video and good luck with your KZread channel!
No idea how this hasn't blown up loved the work. Subbed
Excellent video!! Very respectful and educational insight on one of the kindest, funny, loving, and talented people I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with
This video was so good and super high quality!
Thanks for the amazing video. Jonas is sorely missed in the Tetris community ❤
What a great video and fitting tribute to the GOAT
One of those videso you've just gotta hit like to encourage more of. Great work
No spotlights and headlines for fractal, but he got warm appraise from the community
Jonas was an inspiration and a figurehead in the community and his contributions to it will never be forgotten. Thank you for this documentary.
Thanks for the feels man.
Great video. Learned so much about what an amazing person Jonas really was
I remember Jonas would hold fan matches in TETRIO that anyone could jump into, but I got cold feet and never participated. I'll always regret that.
Amazing video. It brings a tear to my eye
amazing video, miss you jonas ❤️❤️❤️

I am so so glad to see someone do a documentary on this amazing man. i
Thank you, Frez. And thank you, Jonas
This is the best tribute video out there
RIP, GOAT. You're still amazing.
One thing I'd like to comment on, you've been regarding NES Tetris as the "original" version of the game, it is not. It is simply one of the most well-known version of the game.
Great video!
38th subscriber. I Will Watch this channel grow and explode!
imagine if they made a movie about a tetris player who goes back in time and blows everyone's mind crashing the game with their new found technique
this is what i repeat all the time. Jonas is GOAT 100%. nobody is till this day so dominant.
great video!
I always called Jonas Keaton Because he looks like Michael Keaton.
Awesome video!
A nice tribute to Jonas. RIP champ.
Well made video in memory of the GOAT
33:31 of course I show up at the hecking Fall Guys portion. I find myself missing Jonas dearly all the time. Phenomenal guy and really singlehandedly made 2020 a lot better for me. An amazing player and an even better friend to everyone in the community. LYMYMI.
Jonas would be floored if he saw how the game has evolved. Im sure he is looking down on us from above with pride and joy ❤ RIP Jonas, you were always my favorite player! ❤
Good video. I miss watching Jonas and Heather's streams :(
