No mods except S3 has a res delete. golf R even has the akrapovic exhaust. on the roll they were identical. the tcs setting in both s3 and the R will be important in launch control. Its either the setting or the haldex on the R not working right. there's an R owner on YT that did the test with tcs and launch control and if it isn't correct it's slower by almost half a second at the qtr mile. Carwow even managed to get a 4.2 0-60 on another Golf R review (that's a 12 sec car) yet here it consistently runs 13.6. That's a manual stock R time.

@@georgfranko I don't disagree. They make some fantastic cars. I also don't expect CarWow or any reviewer to know each car's perfect settings. As an R owner ( who goes to the quarter mile and track ) I can tell you the R is much quicker than the posted time. It isn't that big of a deal though, just sharing what I've recorded. I've ran 13.0 on a full tank of gas and 12.82 on a half tank, here's my clip: kzread.info/dash/bejne/k4p7yrl_pZS3ktY.html That's all oem (DSG). Each run after that was .04-0.06s slower. I'll have new times this spring since I'm flashed and added more goodies.
