David_007 Hunter he's the greatest defensive player of all time, no one could stop him. Unbeatable, amazing, ask anyone who watched his games. Every list for top 10 defensive players have him in the top 3 if not first. I think once I read he is the fourth best player(offense and defense) of all time

Been Cowboys fan for 40 years and LT is the best NFL player I've ever seen. Changed offensive and defensive football. Couldn't be run at. Couldn't be blocked 1 on 1. Invented strip sack. Running down the line to catch RBs. All go no show. Feared by every opponent. Made Gibbs and Walsh change to 2 TE and 3 TE sets. Underrated pass defender. If it wasn't for Jim Brown he'd be the best NFL player ever

I agree with you about LT but I do need to say Too Tall was very similar. Couldnt run at him or away. Over 100 sacks while playing flex end. He ate most of the double teams which freed up Randy White and Harvey Martin. And he caused more ints than any player ever, forcing qbs to change ball trajectory. Not to mention having more deflections than most HOF corners.

That day Redskins just could not block him. It is not Joe’s fault. If I would Redskins offensive coordinator, I wouldn’t play s snap with 300 pounds tackle is trying to block speed of Lawrence.... That’s wrong, the best chance is to put in his face TE like Warren, who is about 250 pounds😅 but you take pass-catching threat out of your offense..... That is why LT is the best defender ever. The whole offense is built to stop him in some way. That week 14 the entire offense didn’t know what to do. TE or RB wasn’t able to give some help to left tackle.

@@imo1933 Reggie White didn't cover backs, receivers or tight ends. LT did it all - pass coverage, pass rush, stopping the run and played the gunner on special teams. LT was responsible for offensive tackles getting paid, the development of the H-back (devised by Redskins coach Joe Gibbs), and gave many opposing offensive coordinators sleepless nights in developing game plans against the Giants. LT is worth all the hype and more. His stats and accomplishments speak volumes. B.T.W. Bruce Smith had over 200 sacks vs. Reggie White's 198 sacks. They're not even close in dominance.

My first Superbowl that I can remember was in 1979, and my father pointed at the Steelers and told me: "Defense wins championships." I really miss great defense as it's so much more impressive than great offense, and now that I know how much more effort that it takes in the NFL, I just admire it even more.

Now it’s you go boy tap on the ass good or bad play 😂😂🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ ( Garrett ) 🤣😂🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I don’t like or dislike football but if I need to watch 6’5 280lbs man get violent that’s what I want to watch ( in the realm of sportsmanship and respect ) not that sissy can’t touch nobody nfl. I get we try to protect players but there is a consequence to this and that’s soft product. You can’t ever compare this era to the others. QB got more time to throw since you can’t touch them wr got more time to route and catch since everything is PI etc... not to say it’s not exciting but you watch football and expect big hits now you just expect penalty and high score . It sucks because you really can't see a defensive player's impact on a game unless you actually watch them. Highlights, stats, accolades really don't do defensive players justice. Wish I could have watched him week in week out.

Odell Beckham Jr. #Odeezy #13Hunnit #BreakinRecords Definitely the best defensive player of all time. No one has had this big of an impact on the game from any position. He single handily changed the game. This guy is a beast. But the 🐐 is hard to say. I think it's jerry rice who simply is the most dominant player at his position.

There is one reason that Alan Page's 1971 MVP season is not so touted. He Dominated as much as LT, but films of his games are hard to find, and not commonly held, so he gets forgotten while LT gets all the glory. Don't forget that LT wasn't the first defensive MVP on the league. But in life , there is no doubt Alan Page>>LT as a person. He made the Minnesota Supreme Court and was Chief Justice. What has LT done after football???? Exactly -- nothing.

That was the year that became aware of American football. A rich friend who was a fan asked me who I liked in the super bowl, and I had no idea what he was talking about. He asked me again "Broncos or Giants?", to which I asked him who he liked. He mentioned that he liked the Broncos, to which I laughed, so to seem that I knew what henwas talking about, and told him the Giants would win easily. So that is how the Giants became my team, amd L.T. my favourite player, but after thensame friend showing me a sports magazine where it had a Giants player eating apples. 😅 My friend mentioned that that was the best player, so I ran with it ever since. A couple of years later I moved to north America and was able to watch my favourite team and player on TV, along with play the game and become a starting LB who wore 56. Fun times.

Nobody talks about the Big Blue Wrecking Crew as one of the top defences in history and that's a crying shame because they were BETTER than the '85 Bears. Hear me out here, because the Bears were good for ONE SEASON while the Crew won TWO Super Bowls over five years, the second against a team they had no business being on the field with, let alone defeating... the 1990-91 Buffalo Bills, one of the greatest football teams to ever walk onto a field. The Giants beat them with backup Jeff Hostetler as QB because Phil Simms had a broken leg. Super Bown XXV was won by the Big Blue Wrecking Crew (with help from MVP RB Ottis "OJ" Anderson).
