cache is a good map, the problem was the new cache - window in connector was really unnecessary and map wasnt well optimised

the mid window looks more like youre just able to throw nades through it now, rather than actually able to sit there for a angle

At one point in csgo I was tired of all other maps and started playing cache only. I probably played 100 cache matches in a row. I really hope they bring it back in cs2.

Cache was dust 4, If you call mirage dust 3. Done right using the dust 2 layout as a basis, They have all things in common, Extremely popular in PUG and solo Q friendly

Can't believe you didn't add xQc having the greatest CS round of all time to your Cache clips montage

Best map in the pool, best balancing, allows for many play styles to be successful, and an overall great layout and so fun to watch in pro play.

@@purple_urkle8034 anubis is much more complex and more interesting than cache. Cache is a pug map, anubis is a competitive map.

Couldn't agree more on Cache, being my by far favorite map and I think you did it justice when talking about it. those 2015-2017 Rank S clips I live for, and cache always felt like a great map for almost any level of play. Also on the new cache that doesn't look like a window rather a grenade throw hole to me but not sure. another great video penguin good job :D

6:52 For me it looks like the window is gone. That small hole looks less like something you can can climb up and look through and more like just a hole to throw grenades through.

I agree that Cache needs to comeback. I remember being very frustrated with the map right before it got taken away for the hd remake. The main issue was I noticed a lot of trolls and derankers were gravitating to the map and it was hard to find a good match when queuing for it.

Ngl, I wasn't ready for the CEST timings lmao. It took me a while to notice and I had already started internally grumbling to myself about having to work out which NA timezone you had used and how that relates to UTC at this time of the year. I have been played.

CS2 needs cache and cobble :'(

Great vid HOWEVER about that record you mentioned at 2:43 (insert nerd emoji here)... I think Yanzl smokes him, and Quoting (Mr Wignman) is on equal grounds so... Just felt those guys deserve some credit too, fmpone might be THE legendary mapper for a lot of people but a lot of those people also underestimate the other mappers and their capabilities. You never know whos gonna make the next thing that bests cache one day... Also you don't ever know if fmpone won't do another woopsie like the cache remake he did for csgo with all the gameplay changes that seemingly nobody liked :P

Coincidental timing on the upload! My mates and I got together just last night and did a 5v5 with a cache port from the workshop. It wasn't a perfect port but was great fun. Very keen to see FMPone's new version and what changes he will make to the gameplay.

I still remember and honor a niko 4k with the AK point disarray where he retakes A and clutches a 1v4 to win the map and ultimately the set on cache. Truly my favorite play of all time

One of my favourites too, along with Inferno, Nuke and Mirage. Honourable mentions go to Train, Overpass and Seaside (though that one may just be nostalgia, it's probably seriously outdated by now). I really hope Cache comes back at some point. Honestly, even if we just got the original CS:GO version, I'd be happy to play it :D

I remember when I came back to csgo in 2022 I hated cache just because I didn't know it, after actually wanting to learn how counter strike works and putting a bit of time into the map cache became one of my favorite maps that I miss greatly, wish they added it back instead of dust 2

It had one of the few B sites WITH a lot of action throughout the match. That said, it was a map with I think an even spread of T engagements between A site and B site.

Cache have a special place in my heart. Was the first map that I did an Ace, the first map where I stopped being a Nova Gold (xd) The map that i remember most granades, my favorite map to use AWP in both sides... I really love this and hate how Valve ruined it (by accident, yes)

Exactly. You said it. Cache's layout was as simple as Dust 2, but to be honest I am an old school player. I like simple things, I don't want 5 different angles on a location. Cache's simplicity was always praised by me and I miss it dearly.

Cache is amazing, the perfect balance between teamplay and solo carry imo. Gotta love headshotting people on maps like this D2 or Tuscan, simple yet so effective, i can't believe they took it from US to add vertigo, also miss cbble badly :(

I liked Cache before the remake. It was already super CT Sided, but the window in mid and the changes to enable mollys to Quad from CT made it more so. That said, it also just feels way too much like D2 and Mirage and I would prefer if only two of them were in the map pool at any given time.

They need to bring back cache and extra game modes I’ve legit stopped playing until that and or operation

Lmao Vertigo is one of the best cs maps of all times I guess you are one of those people who spam Mirage and sit in a corner somewhere because that is the only way you can win (and Vertigo and very few hiding spots and the best anti-camper/anti-noob map)

My favorite map of all time was train. It was so funny how awps destroyed the long angles. Get some buddies and a bunch of flash bangs to rush. Cs2 is missing these great maps, and has very little to offer for people who don’t have time to play for hours a day.

"Window in mind is still there" Not really. It is far too high and I think it is just a spot for players to be able to throw flashes deeper into CT. I think that thing is so far up that it wouldn't be reached even by a 2-player boost. It is also very dark so the visibility would be very bad.

It's actualy gonna be a big deal ones Cache finaly releases for C2. It's simply one of the most fun maps to play on. I think many players would return for Cache. Not sure if you agree but one of my favorite maps of all time is Basalt. It's really fun to play but not balanced at all. It was the perfect map if you didn't want to take comp too seriously. Wish they brought it back.

Cache have 1 problem - it's very stale. There are people who doesnt mind that and people that get annoyed by it. Im personally in the second category which is weird since i'm vertigo enjoyer (another kinda stale map) and cache was my fav map back in the past where i was just starting with cs. Cache is better version of dust 2 imo i wish it would comeback. Remove ancient and give us reworked train :D

I mean cache is fine, but in the current map pool, there is already a lot of very puggy maps. Cache would have to go in for a map like Mirage or D2 for it to make sense in the context of having a good map pool.

@@joecobb7153 Anubis is one of the most popular maps in the higher ranks and imo its a very unique map. Ancient I think is just you. A lot of people set their opinion on a map once it comes out and then never change it. Ancient is a map that plays very similarly to maps like Mirage, but in my opinion is far superior in both tactics and strategic elements. It might just be you, cause it IS a very popular map.
