I went home and away to everything that season. One of our best ever teams, manager and some breathtaking football. Not since the days when we'd chant, "Johnny Neal's blue and white army," had I enjoyed myself going to games. Yeah Jose and RDM16 were extra special but in terms of sheer joy, this was my favourite season, oh, apart from 1969/70 and 1970/71. FA Cup followed by the European Cup Winners Cup. Went to those finals too with my uncles and his mates. Lastly, incase you're curious, I first started going in the 1964/5 season. Former ball boy and born and raised in the flats next to the main gate. Born in 1953.
