He is a manager with experience, but does not trust his players' own initution to make smart move. His tactics is based on settled patterns of play, drilled endlessly into his players (under the form of 11 v 0 shadow training) who are compelled to follow to a tee.

love how Harry Kane involved in most of them

I actually have a similar playstyle to conte's and can say it's just amazing. When u stay behind the ball's line ur closing as many spaces as you can for the opponent cannot score, then u go out in the counterattacks like a madman then creating 3-1 or 3-2 situations like shown in the video. Please notice how almost every goal is scored by someone running behind the defence and shooting in a 1v1 x the keeper (!!!) It's brilliant!!!

Perfect example of " Conte ball " was evident at the Emirates and Old trafford earlier in the season .

All looks great on the counter, but when teams sit back they haven't a clue.

Against Conte, you cannot play a high line of defense against his team. The players he used, his counter-attacking game. His tactics worked in championship winning teams like Inter Milan and Chelsea too. I am very surprised by Spurs' decision.

He hasn’t lasted a full season of football for 4 season played one game at United on loan then missed 5 that could be clue great player, but he is good for 6-15 games a year 😞🙃🤣

Conte won't buy a playmaker but most of our best goals have come from eavesdropping deep and playing that role, does that make sense? Teams know how to play against us now, they don't press and they sit back, our defence and midfield haven't got a creative pass in their skillset so we just pass it around hoping players press so we can draw them in and counter, when that doesn't happen we are lost! Conte has no plan b, it took us losing and looking bad for him to play three in the midfiekd, something the fans had been asking for for months. Even with more players I really don't see much changing as it's the tactics as much as poor players, if not more!

Conte ball is not only boring, it's ineffective. Teams have figured out how we play and how to beat us. Tbh we've been bad this season, but nothing will change because Conte is to stubborn.

I don't understand what he did to the team in these clips in pre season to make us so bad? Maybe it was that stupid running he had them do in korea? Conte has one way of playing, no plan b and teams realised without a playmaker they just need to sit back and we can't break them open. The team then follow conte tactics to the letter waiting for them to press and set traps and they never do so the team is lost. Conte ruined the team some how and that's with 5 new players.

@@MarkWalmsley I think he provided the team a bit of belief and motivation at the end of last season. He does provide passion, but now he's had his own way for longer his began negatively influencing the team

You clearly haven't eat her this season. Conte broke the team in pre season and since they came back they haven't looked anything like the team in these clips. Teams have worked us out!

For genius read boring & negative! Once teams worked out that Spurs wanted to play on the counter-attack it was game over. Can count on the fingers of one hand the number of good 90 minute performances this season!
