15% of Croatia's population came out on the streets of Zagreb to celebrate Croatian National Football Team on July 16th 2018, after becoming vice champions on the FIFA World Cup 2018.

Barely 4 years after that silver medal, the team won today bronze medal on FIFA World Cup 2022. A similar kind of celebration might again find place tonight in Zagreb, after the team returns back from Qatar.
I don't think any World Cup winners were ever as honoured in their countries as Luka Modrić's squad in 2018. Four times more people were on the streets of Zagreb than in Paris that day (France was world cup winner 2018, it is a country with more than 16 times bigger population).
