people keep bringing up the fact that italians and irish weren't considered white. but i think the far more relevant argument is the fact that the "one drop rule" is one of the main reasons for statistical democratic shift. if someone has 1 black grandparent and 3 white ones, they are statistically considered black. of course, if you always count mixed people as "non-white", the actual genetic representation of "white people" will be massively underrepresented in statistics. most african americans have some white ancestry (often through rape of slaves, but often also from times after slavery). by far most "latinos" have strong "white" ancestry, too. so, if we would count them as "partially white", the statistics would look VERY different. yes, a modern society mixes more, because luckily a lot of us don't chose their partners based on racist ideas anymore. so there are much more mixed people than ever before. so? it's fucking awesome.

Its terrible living in such a racist world and not having your own tribe. The liberal white person is the only peeople with no ingroup preference. people are fucking stupid, they incorporate dumb physical analogies to their everyday life because their minds are too small to see the world any different , that's why the one drop rule exist, because people saw how one drop of some other color always ruins the white paint, people knew nothing about genetics so they said fuck it we're paint now, we racists now, fuck everybody who says we're not paint.

Well, kind of. Most of the American Indian population in North America was wiped out by disease prior to any long term European settlement let alone conquest. This massive plague is sadly rarely talked about due to us having no record of it, but suffice to say some native populations had as much as 90% of people wiped out. So when the Europeans did decide to colonize much of the natives civilizations were pretty much on the brink of collapse and barely holding themselves together and much more land was empty then would have been otherwise. All in all, the situations aren’t exactly comperable.

My Mom was a child in Brooklyn NY during the 1950's. She grew up in a Irish Catholic family. Her Aunt fell in love with a man from a Italian Catholic family that lived a couple of blocks away. At that time a marriage between a Irish kid and a Italian kid was considered a bad thing. Mixing I guess. After they got married they were not welcome in the Irish neighborhood or the Italian neighborhood. They ended up moving to Florida to start their family. In 2022 we would think that's nuts. I hope that what we are talking about today loses traction is considered old fashioned and weird in a generation or two. (Hopefully sooner than that!)

Working age men need jobs, you dont find a lot of stable jobs in civil war. You'll find them to be the main immigrant population even between nations of the same race or religion because immigration is seen as dangerous and women are less likely to find minimum wage work than men. Fun fact: while in the US Italian migration was oftenly perceived as a pollution of inferiors (some even classifying them "non-whites"), in Argentina, Brazil and most of Latin America Italian immigrants were not just welcomed (except for some purists) but invited to migrate, since, according to the Latin American hyperdescent logic of miscegenation, they'd "improve the race". This is how nebulous the concept of "pure whiteness" is: for Latin America it was all Europeans, for Anglo-America it was only a certain kind of Europeans.

This video seem to tackle the more extreme and conspiratorial versions of this, but as a European, coming from a Swedish city that used to be ~95% sweds some 40 years ago (most of these 5% from neighbouring countries), and today have nearly 50% foreign born (mostly from mideast, Afghanistan and Somalia), the change is very much noticable, and its difficult to not admit these ideas come from an actual and real problem at its core. To say 'the values are already similar, thats why they come here' is a common talking point in Sweden too; but theres little reason to believe this at all true, at least here, and a lot indicating it usually isnt. The very secular and freespirited cultural style of Sweds, and the very religious, conservative and family controlled cultural style of these regions doesnt always go hand-in-hand, and motivation for picking our country specifically tend to be due to economic safety, not values. The cultural values of sweds are usually viewed as something weird and foreign; a strange enigma you're curious of but knows little about, or something already concluded to be immoral that you ought to avoid being tainted of. In difference to the US, there is no tradition of multiculturalism here, but rather of a strong monoculture. We were a single people, with a single party (in power), with a single TV-channel, for a really, really long time. As more migrants enter a neighbourhood, Sweds tend to leave it to live locally in the monoculture they are used to; and migrants tend to pick neighbourhoods where they know someone from their home country. As a result, segregation is intensified and integration or assimilation becomes very weak, and plenty of neighbourhoods and schools in my city has no ethnic sweds at all anymore. At most, they are integrated though children of past migrants (who themselves have few or no Sweds in their social circles). To contemplate the "replacement theory", you only need to ask yourself; 'what if this trend continues, for another 40 years...?' The talking point of 'whites are being exploited' goes back to the motivation of picking a country like Sweden; economic safety. We have a massive wellfare state, and very welcoming rules. When a group who didnt contribute to the wellfare system, then have really low employment numbers and live off it; its hard to not say that there is no exploitation in that. The average for a migrant from these regions is 8 years, until they had their FIRST job... That's a lot of years on wellfare. More than most Sweds have in their lifetimes... To put it simply; if the demographic trends of my city were to be extrapolated to the whole country, maintaining a wellfare state of the standard we´re accustumed to, would be utterly impossible. It only works now due to a system of local government wealth transfer; if not we would sit on a near 30% citybudget deficit. (City in question is Malmö, third largest city in Sweden.) One can and should avoid the harsh and racialized terminology of "white exploitation/replacement" and the likes of it, while still recognizing that there are real and difficult problems at the core of this, which cant just be sumarized as some fake populist conspiracy theory. Below that conspiratorial surface, real problems are festering and growing; and the unfortunate fact is that high migration is exacerbating those problems.

Both proponents and opponents of the "Great Replacement Theory" do a disservicee to the truth because the name makes it sound like some grand white-supremacist conspiracy theory. We can denounce the conspiratorial aspects of the issue while still acknowledging very clear data that shows a huge demographic shift in countries where that might've been unheard of.

A recent survey also shows that 6 in 10 Trump supporters agree with it, and if Trump didn't literally fully support it, it was a gateway to this type of ideology.

@@A-Young-Philosopher It's been happening before I was born, and will happen long after I'm dead. It's so noticeable that when me and my family would go in the car to Dewsbury, Thornhill and Savile Town, we'd play a game called 'Spot the White man' where you'd just try to see any White people as you passed through. We never counted more than 10, let's put it that way. Those towns look like Pakistani Muslim enclaves now. Savile Town, one of the most infamous towns for this, is less than 2% White British, according to a census that's 11 years out of date. Traditional English pubs and churches are closing down because alcohol is haram in Muslim culture and Muslims obviously don't attend church, meanwhile it's home to some of the biggest mosques in Europe. There's literally not enough British people there to keep the pubs and churches open. British women are stared at by Pakistani Muslim men for not wearing burqas, niqabs and hijabs. Street signs and shop signs are all in Urdu/Arabic because barely anyone can understand English now. Even some local butchers admit they've never served a British person in their life, because out of 4,033 people (according to a 2011 census), only 48 are White British. And to top it off, 4 out of the 5 'Notable residents' on its Wikipedia page are Islamic extremists and committed suicide bombings/left to join ISIS, and 5/5 of them aren't White British. But yeah, totally not being replaced.

I think that the '1 drop' theory also plays a role in this. That is the idea that if a "White person" and someone of a different "race", or "ethnicity", have children together this means that none of their children or future generations can be considered "White". This is if anything, even dumber than other reasons, but you can see where a belief of this sort could make people fear for the future of "White people". I mean realistically there's no "they", there is only US. I was typing this while listening to the video, and then you said this yourself, so bonus points for you!

You talk about immigration to the United States, for example. Anglo Americans WERE replaced in areas like New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and Rhode Island by the Italian immigrants you mentioned. All 4 of these states have populations that are between 15-20% Italian nowadays and Italian American politicians and leaders are ever-present. There are numerous towns/cities/counties that are majority or plurality Italian Americans. In terms of religion, Catholicism is the largest religion in New York, for example. @Tollahvision - The Ayatollah Historically black areas of the US are historically disenfranchised, and even now that racism isn’t so cool anymore, we fail to dig them out of poverty in a couple of generations because our system isn’t very good at giving them the necessary opportunities. There still exist harmful stereotypes of the people in those areas that make people less sympathetic to them. As for sub-Saharan Africa, the borders of the countries were drawn up by European countries negotiating with each other over resources, not based on the people who already lived there, and their economies were intended to be dependent on their mother country as colonies. Thus, the independence of these countries left behind a patchwork of underdeveloped countries filled with ethnic groups and religious sects that often hated each other. Many were taken over by authoritarian strongmen who took advantage of the chaos to line their own pockets. That’s at least a very oversimplified version of it because each country is different in some way. Rwanda is actually fairly wealthy now, as crazy as that would’ve sounded 30 years ago.

@Tollahvision - The Ayatollah Sub Saharan Africa (and North Africa, not sure what the cause for the distinction is when there are sub Saharan countries richer than North African countries) can be pretty readily explained by both classical colonialism and, more relevantly, neo colonialism sabotaging every attempt to get a functional government set up. China is set to change the balance of power there though. Even if their methodology devolves into the exact same tactics as the west, the existence of a competitor will probably encourage the actual development of the region in order to help get strong allies. It all comes down to political culture, and much of Africa was shot in the foot to begin with when it came to setting up modern states. Botswana stands out has a prime example of a highly developed Sub Saharan country in Africa that has done very well for itself despite its initial status upon independence, due to the strong political culture it exhibited right form the very start.

Meanwhile the left is all of a sudden anti israel , and yet cry anti semetism whenever the right calls out the hat tribe. So its all just hypocrisy from both sides. @@PeaceOfMind8190 The white percentage of the population in the US in 1960 was 88.6%, compared to today's percentage of 59.3%. Since 1990, the US has accepted an average of one million legal immigrates (Not including refugees and asylum seekers) each year. The overwhelming majority of them coming from non-European nations with no sign of the current government and its party slowing down immigration now or in the foreseeable future; even though the current mass immigration has irrefutably negatively impacted important issues such as the housing crisis and stagnating wages for the working class. The US today has by far the most liberally extremist immigration laws in the entire world (I am not counting the EU's internal immigration due to them being in a union). Currently, 20% of the world’s foreign born immigrants live in the US despite the US making up only 4.4% of the Earth’s population. Each time the foreign born population in the US reached roughly 15% (The US is currently at 13.7%) throughout its history, the government has significantly cut back on immigration for economic and assimilation purposes. Calling on immigration to be lowered will only get you accusations of being racist from the other side no matter your reasoning in todays political sphere. With that information, one can only conclude that the main reason democrats want mass immigration to continue is to further lower the percentage of whites in the US; considering that the only time the left talks about white people or "whiteness" is in the context of them/it being a disease and responsible for all the problems the US is facing. To answer your question, Yes. If the country already is overwhelmingly white with moderate or conservative immigration policies, the minority would be most affected, but that is not the case that has been happening in the US the past 60 years.

I don't subscribe to the racist implications of GRT and believe in treating everyone equally and fairly, but a couple of points of contention: 1. If you have immigration to the West but not vice versa, there's going to be replacement. That's just being factual, especially with lower western birthrates. If China, India, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America are allowed to stay relatively static with no inbound migration, but the West is the only region that needs to become more diverse, there will be replacement. 2. Progressives talk enthusiastically about replacement all the time. "Demographics is destiny" they say. It's no accident they have more immigrant friendly policies, they want to accelerate a changing demographic. 3. Western societies have implemented more social services and entitlements than in the past, meaning that immigration will become a more contentious issue because it's no longer just a matter of someone new moving here. Controlling who is a member of the 'club' also controls who is entitled to what financial benefits. 4. At a time when all demographics should have lower birthrates to fight resource scarcity, climate change, and environmental collapse, different groups will cynically use higher birthrates and population as a weapon against those who are responsibly trying to lower their footprint. 5. We have always been apprehensive of newcomers, but it is truly worrying when those new comers don't share your values. France didn't used to have to worry about professors being beheaded for free speech. Now they do. If you wouldn't let in a stranger into your home, why would you let in a group of people that wishes to strip your rights away? 6. Diversity as a strength is incidental. Japan and China have strong societies with less diversity. Diversity can be a weakness. It is much easier for China to send their best spy into American society than for America to send their best Chinese-American spy into China's society. Just some thoughts...

It is not meant to be a conspiracy by the elites to replace white people. It is meant to be a factual description of the immigration pattern France has experienced in the past 60 years. Besides, race is not necessarily the focus. The concept is associated with cultural replacement. When Mr Beat says it's not grounded in fact, I don't understand his point. There are 6M Muslims in France. Before WW1, there were almost none. There was 1 mosque in France in 1916, now there are 2500. Their impact is seriously felt due to the multiplication of islamic terrorist attacks and higher crime rates.

As a young white man growing up in Canada I have noted significant cultural change in our large urban centres. Much of it is great in adding to the enrichment of Canada. Having said that I also noted many of the cities now have communities only populated by specific ethnic groups which some may argue has lead to a balkanization of many areas of the country. I dated gals from Japanese ancestry, Chinese ancestry, India ancestry and First Nation ancestry. The only time I never faced push back from dating these girls was when I dated the Japanese gal. The Chinese family didn’t like me dating their daughter but never openly said anything. The Indian gal told me her dad would literally kill me if he knew she was dating a white guy. The First Nation gal’s grandmother openly stated to me she only wanted her granddaughter “to marry pure Haida”. And yet throughout my life I was always open to other cultures and the enrichment they provide to our society and constantly hear I’m racist because of my colour. So I ask why is racism only discussed in one vein when it’s present in other areas? Racism is racism and trying to claim otherwise is dangerous. But I guess if it works to accuse people of racism to shut down any of their concerns it’s okay. London has changed dramatically and is not representative of the greater UK. The large urban populace in Canada has changed considerably and again is not representative of many areas of Canada. But I guess if anyone questions what’s happening just call them a racist to shut them up.

Every chance I get I talk Bible with her. I don’t attend church, but I’ve read more of that book than she ever has. I think I got her thinking the other day when I brought up the story of the Good Samaritan, and its context with the history of the Assyrian conquests of Jerusalem and Samaria, and why Jesus showing that he thought of Samaritans as “regular people” was so shocking to his followers. My cousins eyes got big and her mouth got round, so I left it at that. Next lessons planned is the “sheep from the goats” story.

The bantus spread out all across of Africa displacing the Africans that lived there before, the Slavs invaded half of Europe, the indo aryans invaded India and the Chinese invaded Indochina. Peoples being replaced and conquered is completely common throughout history. Camus may have popularized the "Great Replacement Theory", but in the 2000's I was beating the drum for the "Demographics is Destiny!" crowd... who were arguing that replacing the White Americans (and Canadians) was a GOOD thing and was quite happy that by 2050, the USA was going to be primarily non-white for the first time in the history of the United States of America. (it was going to take another 30+ years for Canada at the time - I don't even think there was an official estimate for Canada.) White Americans who hated this were almost entirely Conservatives, openly Christian, were anti-Same Sex Marriage (to the point of many were actually anti-LGBTQ+), and pro-Captialism. All of which we were quite happy to say would be destroyed by the browning of America (a sentiment often shared in the 2000's, though I don't remember if it was actually a slogan like "Demographics is Destiny!" was). America was going to become less Conservative, less Christian, pro-SSM, more anti-Capitalist and overall less Whtie, and this was a good thing to us. Toss in the argument FOR immigration that have been spread in the last 20+ years - particularly the argument that the West isn't having enough babies to fill the jobs we need, so without these immigrants doing jobs that we Westerners didn't want to do - it gets easy to read something nefarious between the lines. Because I DID mean something Nefarious. I DID mean I wanted to see less White Christian Capitalist Americans (and Westerners in general) in the world. I DID think that taking things (money, power, land, etc.) from White people was perfectly fine. I DID outright want there to be less White people in the world, to be "replaced" by non-Whties. If "White Replacement Theory" was a phrase that was used at the time, I would have been all for it and likely argued passionately in FAVOUR of it. I DID have a "black and white" view of the world, where I laughed at the idea of the Irish and Italians not being "white" - that was a red flag to me that I was dealing with a "White Christian Conservative" and so was not to be taken seriously, for instance. (You can't get much more white than most Irish people, after all, and it is still common for people to talk about the first Slaves in the Americas being Irish, not African) The places I frequented, the people I interacted with, we all held these views or at least espoused these views publicly to fit in. And it wasn't until I was literally holding someone in my arms on the day they were born that I realized that I was arguing to make their lives worse simply because of the colour of their skin, and my perceptions of the sins (ironic for an atheist to think of "sins") associated with that skin colour. I was perfectly fine living a lesser life for myself, but when it was my child that I was condemning to a lesser life... that's probably what broke me out of this line of thinking and this kind of belief far more than anything else could have. If people like me didn't do what people like me did in the 2000's (and probably before, but it wasn't until the 2000's that I because active in that kind of movement), maybe Camus wouldn't have had fodder for his "Great Replacement Theory". And yes, his reasoning (and the reasoning of the proponents of that specific theory) is irredeemable. But the sentiment DOES exist out there. The problems they are noting DO exist. The changes ARE happening. It's just that nothing is happening the way anyone predicted. The Latino's crossing the southern US border aren't becoming Lifelong Democrats - they're leaving the DNC and becoming Independent (if not outright Republican), and the Pro-Immigrant/Anti-Immigrant argument in the Latino community is as strong and divided as it is in the wider American community. Muslims are not embracing the LGBTQ+, and it's difficult to see if they're embracing Feminism either - it still seems to be a very common expectation among teenage Muslim girls that they're going to get married to someone from the Old Country and start raising a family either right out of high school or maybe they get to go to University first. None of them want Socialism or to get rid of Capitalism, and the vast majority are either Christian (latino's) or Muslim, few to none are leaving their Religion behind and becoming Secular. So what I expected to happen, and what I taunted Conservatives about happening... aren't happening. Conservatives may be more right about what's happening than I was, regardless of the path they took to get to those answers.

It drives me insane to see people running around saying what amounts to "it isn't happening but you deserve it." It is happening, any demographic chart you look at shows that the U.S. and Canada will become minority white countries by the end of the century, with Australia and New Zealand not far behind. The UK is probably the most dramatic example we can look at.
