Apollo, use the keyboard shortcuts for the gameplay more. Press R for making a unit to run, Space for positionning and F for meele. Also, try to unlock the Knee Fire tech from the tech tree. It makes the line infantry fire one line at a time.

I hope that you could be able to read this comment before recording the next episode of this campaign. So here's the thing about daimyo honours, you basically had been losing it constantly due to bankruptcy, and another -1 because you had betrayed your ally Nagaoka in the 1st episode. Another way to lost honour is to loot a city. Low daimyo honour means you will have a public order hit FACTION WIDE, and lower the honour of ALL your generals (which lead to an even worse problem of defection, when your low honour general attacking an enemy force, and you did experience this already in this campaign). So if anything, id highly recommend fixing your daimyo honours, either by having a heroic victory, establishing vassal, or by research. The economy situation has really been getting out of hand with so many invasion and raiding, so i think we can only suck it up for now, and try to gain more territory later. A tip for your next campaign on FOTS if you do plan on doing so, is not to discover the map too early. The AI is super aggressive on higher difficulty, which you have been witnessing constantly so far. Letting other clan to know you only increase the chance of them declaring war on you, like the Satsuma did. Also, the AI tend to gang up on you, especially when they see you having multiple enemies (the whole north was switching side to imperial and only declaring war to you is the perfect example). So you need to be very cautious early on. Sadly that ship had sailed on this campaign. Another tip that i forgot, is to bring your agent, shinshengumi, to the newly liberated settlements to help spreading the shogunate influence, that helps a lot with public order. And priority happiness building like police station or inn if you can, or else those settlements will rebel a lot until you can fix the allegiance problem But still, your effort of fighting off the enemies and doing your best to survive this is superb. Keep up the good works Apollo!!!

Hi Apollo, you should use the towers during defence sieges. Click on the pictures of the towers at the top and it will show a little fire arrow icon, you get to use these twice per tower and it rips through enemy morale. Also you can target enemies of your choice with towers unlike other total wars, just click in the tower and right click the enemy you want dead. Keep it up!

Loving this series. It kind of reminds me of your Western Rome Atilla series which is your best if all time. Looking forward to each episode!

You are definitely going to have to improve the situation of all your provinces before even trying to expand further, the honor thing is a headache in Shogun 2, but then it can be resolved little by little. Since you are going to defend for now, I think that after you destroy the last rebel army in the North, you should distribute units between the two cities, to stabilize the region and avoid having to depend on reinforcements to withstand another Rebellion; And when the economy is better, reform your army with the new units available (such as cavalry) and the veterans you have, to continue with the conquest of the North.
