The punchline of the whole video for me was "imagine it's not just the price which is a barrier to feel like a human being in this country".. Simply brilliant.. A true comedian knows how to convey irony thru satire, and u were bang on target punit 👍🙏

Recently I was waiting to check in for my flight at the airport. 2 guys came to me and asked me the procedure for all the entire trip they would take now. Clearly, they were travelling first time. I was very happy for them. Suddenly while talking for a moment one of them said, “dada yahan to koi dhang se baat nai karta”. Then, looked around a bit, and I realised quickly, lock down has added a lot of first time travellers to the airports particularly from lower income group. The airport staffs were little different while talking to them. Then I thought, why these guys approached me? I think it’s bcoz of my looks. Then I felt happy. At least I look like the majority of India and I have not changed in all these years. With that connecting flight I was leaving India in some hours.

Wow ! Bikash Mahraj, I really love it when you said you are happy to look like a common citizen of our beautiful nation. I almost wept out of joy. All my life (I am an old man) I watched such graceful common people toiling hard as construction workers or jobs (without which our nation will simply stop) ... one needs to just watch them and behind the apparent dust or grime is a totally unconscious BEAUTIFUL HUMAN.

This is what guilty laughter means. You are laughing at the jokes, but he joke is on you. If only we thought about the hidden message the 95% may gain something from it :)

I can't figure out whether to laugh at the satire or cry at the reality or be amazed at how beautifully Punit carried it or just feel sad that the audience wasn't so active (except that lady who laughed in between all along!)

@@__________________________1030 Idiotic much. Ye farm laws mein robotics aur ai kaha se aa gaya. Even in western countries where we have free markets here there is no AI. All there is, is a sophisticated food value and delivery chain which is predicted. It can nevertheless be done in India and does not need any farm laws. As for robotics, which I assume you are mentioning about upgraded machinery is a result of streamlining processes which can be done even now in big farms unless you want small farmers to loose their land and the power be consolidated in the hand of large farmers and Industrialists. Don't throw around words you don't understand and stop speaking out of your ass. You are better suited to learning only RSS prachars so concentrate on that.

The line which hit me was.." Don't become a consumer" and I realised that we have become that only. We should be ashamed of neglecting and ignoring more important and urgent matters. Ah here's to you Punit for calling a spade a spade.

I don't usually comment on YT but this was such a thought provoking video. Made me laugh and uncomfortable at the same time. Keep up the good work sir.

The amount of silence in audience when Punit told his house servant travel predicament and asked for the people to "stop pretending to be middle class".. The silence was so full of meaning as this is a stand-up not a "Samagam"... Tremendous respect Bro.

I felt so sad when he talked about his domestic help who asked "hum log allowed hai kya?"... And people get furious when the flight is delayed for 30 mins, or even minor inconvenience like the boarding gate being changed.. The inequality is so damn enormous.. 😢😢😢😢😢

Boss, I come back to this post of yours to listen it again and again. Every line of this stand up is simply profound.... Man, you are just amazing. I hope and wish that you scale more taller, steeper and higher peaks..... And more people, not just in India, but the whole world sits back, listens to you and may be, just may be, some of us could take in some of the points that you have tried to drive home.

This is one of the most well-thought, hard-hitting, stand-up routines I have seen. Every laugh pushes the audience one step further into introspection. Convenience (sahoolat) drives consumerism. Everywhere we go, we see ads - on the back of an auto, on huge buildings, in malls, in our houses on the radio, the TV - every damn place. We are bombarded with information about products. No one stops and looks at things the way they are. "Just buy whatever you can and make your life more convenient". That's what's going on. If things don't improve, there's a good chance that the vacuum Punit talked about will be much more widespread than it is right now, and it will turn humans into zombie-equivalents. There's this she'r from a ghazal by Jaun Elia sahoolat se guzar jaao meri jaan kahin jeene ki khaatir mar na rahiyo give up (or move away) from convenience, my love don't get lost in these things so much that you forget to live your life

This will go down in history as one of the best written pieces. University mein padhaenge ye agle kuch salon mein.

His jokes make you laugh and slap you at the same time... And you have no choice but to ask to repeat..!

I've watched your shows in person, online and read your blogs too. This is pure gold. A tight slap on the faces of the masses that are so consumed with the ideas and the beliefs that they've been sold by those who are in power or command a following. Really commendable, an eye opener act for sure.

Absolutely humbling stand up. I grew up in a middle class family. Dad went up the ranks of the corporate ladder and I was able to enjoy everything I ever wanted. This hits home hard. There is still a middle-class boy in me, but I would be wrong to say I still am that.

The recent Zomato delivery executive incident is so much relatable. Hats off to his content.

I've watched this bit over 10 times now, on each one of those occasions I've made someone sit through with me and watch it, a beautifully written bit and the Indian hypocrisy is so well pointed out. The sadness of the impact of the punches is just extremely hitting and ofcourse it's unfortunate that this video hasn't found the number of viewership that it deserves, maybe because it's not an outright laughter filled set but just a very passionately written set about the extreme ignorance of people living in our age of extreme consumption. It's a very very beautiful set and the word chosen to describe the set comes from a very thinking space of mind.

Your writing always amazes me... ...your jokes so apt in forcing everyone to self introspect.... Hats off Punit Sahab

i had conversation with my friend about our lower middle class families and he said we love to bargain.he said his dad was bargaining even in car showroom. so i asked which car was your dad looking for and he replied Mercedes which ranges ranges between 50- 85 lakhs......This range is soo expensive for middle class people to even dream about. .Am i the only one who think that someone should define clearly the range for middle class people No one definitely accept that they are rich.
