Dave Levy, Jay Cater & Dan Hawkes are joined by a new recruit, James Armstrong and head back to where it all started, Jezero Šumbar, a lake that holds record-breaking carp!
It has been two years since they embarked on a trip to this lake in beautiful Croatia, where Dave managed to absolutely smash his personal best with an incredible 88lb monster mirror carp, the LARGEST CARP EVER CAUGHT LIVE ON FILM! 🐒
After traveling to loads of different fishing venues all over Europe, breaking personal bests, enduring horrific and hilarious challenges, it all comes down to the last fishing trip of the year, and what a way to end where it all started!
In The Great Escape fishing series, we aim to provide all the carp fishing information, tips and tricks for anglers of all abilities to gear up and maximise their own European carp fishing holiday trips. Learn the secrets, get sneak peeks at some of the new carp fishing tackle products and soak up the atmosphere as the trio embark on an epic fishing journey to remember, filmed in instalments throughout 2019.

great video, I liked seeing the fish out takes.. I often wonder how every carp you see on TV/internet is always so calm and never flips out for the cameras nor does the guy drop it.. obviouly just good editing!! lol

It is usually a pale colour, almost white or light grey carp.

Ghost carp can be identified, by the metallic markings on their head and across their body. The metallic colours often come in shades of gold, white and silver. The metallic colours are set against the original dark colours of carp, which is what identifies them as a ghost carp and it is this that causes the ghost like effect on the head of the carp.
