The Great Eastern Railway Wells to Wymondham branch line, Norfolk, 2017
Travelling by rail along the surviving parts of the Wells-Next-The-Sea to Wymondham railway line in Norfolk, England during Summer 2017.
The original line is now in four sections, the narrow-gauge Wells and Walsingham, standard-gauge Mid-Norfolk Railway, proposed Norfolk Orbital Railway and a lost section that will never see a train again. This video concentrates on the sections that are still open to passenger rail transport.

The locomotive was at York when the Covid-19 lockdown started. It has been confirmed, though, that it will spend it's final operating year on the East Lancs Railway once it is able to move there.
Which part of the line will never see a train again?

The former section through Fakenham, which no longer exists in any form.

@@nbc_uk Ah ok. Would it be possible for the wells and Walsingham railway to extend north to a new site in Fakenham?

@@Gaizhun , technically the WWLR could extend south to Fakenhamn either stopping at the edge of the town, or creating a new formation around the edge. However, it is very unlikely that they would do so due to the costs (including a new tunnel in Walsingham), the possible need to change to a wider gauge for the longer run and the open hostility to any rail revival projects from senior transport planning officers in Norfolk County Council.
