RE: character interactions. There are a TON of interactions. There’s like palpable, uh… tension between Percival and Vane. To the extent that Percy calls Vane a dog and Vane responds by barking. They can do this in game if Vane does his SBA immediately after Percival’s. And there’s big punchman Ghandagoza who is entirely unrelated to their shtick. But if Vane does his SBA after Ghanda, Ghanda will tell Vane to bark as well. And he actually does a couple times before pausing and wondering aloud why he obeyed. This game is full to the brim with THAT level of insane interactions.
I find it funny how mind broken those bleach filler arcs are that your immediate thought for a non-threating character who is secretly the big bad is not Aizen, the literal main antagonist for the series, but instead some jobber from a filler arc.
Many people are praying (myself included) for Maglielle to end up in the browser game (RIP to 6+ years of my life) and the fighting game. I need all these guys to come back and stay around, they're all so good.
this was a nice surprise, both this actual spoilercast release and the game itself. it was a really enjoyable time especially with the postgame quests with friends and I'll have to swing back around for a second playthrough once they complete the followup updates.
This game basically felt like a platinum game from a decade ago in the best ways possible I'm so happy it exists and reminds me of a type of game I truely love again
Funny how when 99% of WESTERN games spend years in development with lots of delays, it’s because they’re being mismanaged and shuffled around without ever getting the proper attention, and they almost always come out garbage. But when an EASTERN game spends years in development with lots of delays, it’s probably because they’ve actually been working on it until it’s reached the standard they want, and it’s usually worth it once it’s finally out. There’s obviously exceptions on both sides, but I’d say this is a pretty reliable pattern.
Zeta having lame fate episodes is a huge missed opportunity because she's literally part of a paramilitary organization who was founded to fight off invaders from the moon with stolen alien weapons
It's honestly insane how good this game turned out. I feel like normally when games experience multiple years of delays the game eventually just kind of gets farted out and it's fine at best, but Relink fucking whips ass.

A pretty good rule of thumb: If a WESTERN game spends years in development with lots of delays, it’s because it’s being mismanaged and shuffled around without ever getting the proper attention, and it’s probably gonna come out garbage. If an EASTERN game spends years in development with lots of delays, it’s probably because they’re actually working on it until it’s reached the standard they want, and it’s usually worth it once it’s finally out. There’s obviously exceptions on both sides, but I’d say this is a pretty reliable pattern.
This game was a genuine "I used to pray for times like this" experience, now I'm praying for a followup. life can be so beautiful i think
I'm happy this game is good because Cygames is owned by CyberAgent and they also own my favorite wrestling promotions and I need them to win as much as possible even if it's not directly
Just played the demo. Im buying this game.
This year is so insane I legitimately forgot this game existed until I saw this video.
I need to see a stream of Dan video games or even nyan videogames going through lucilius 12 labors in granblue relink.

They need to see Paradise Lost vs Paradise Lost.

I'd be shocked if any of them got even close to end game. They'd probably be a bit less positive on the game if they went through any of the level of grind. The material grind and sigil RNG can get a bit tiring.

Bob & I did a TON of postgame stuff. Been thinking about going back. Frankly, I don't like super endgame grinding in many games so it wouldn't stand out spectacularly if it wasn't amazing anyway.

@@GigaBoots Fair enough. Post game through episode 0 is honestly pretty good. Around Proud Mode the wall appears and you need an ascension weapon or to get carried. Then there's the sigil grind which is exhausting. It's largely my fault for being a completionist anyway. I just spent way more time grinding that it somewhat mars the pretty good parts earlier on. I think the gacha DNA starts hurting the game at that point.
there are 4 light and dark characters in the game now with the addition of the Eternals so you can make a few mono element teams or just have 4 of the same character online
Granblue Relink Most Anticipated Game of the Year (affectionate) Judas Most Anticipated Game of the Year (derogatory)
I’ve basically ignored this game since it came out real close to P3 Reload which was my priority at the time, def gotta pick it up eventually,,, tho I only just started 7 Rebirth so it may not be for awhile ^^;
I have no spare time I'm broke I'm debating getting this game
Is this it? Is this what gets me to buy this game? If we go by previous patterns, probably
Oh sheit new gigaboots podcast review!!!!
Ahh, so they *didn’t* do the Lucilius fight
just gonna out me like that
Unfortunately as a player of the gacha I was kind of let down by Relink, I was hoping for more story focused stuff, not the endgame to be *another* Granblue mats grind

Yeah that's what convinced me to get ff7 rebirth instead, I still want to play relink this year though
Yea gotta say games pretty good, but Man I hate how short the main story is, fe.t like a movie spin off, than a full season show, which is what I'm usually looking for outta a arpg/jrpg. Still great job for a first time game
