The VR has been terribly made, it doesn't even work smoothly on PC so definitely won't work on PSVR2.

I don't like calling things game killers, I think every game has its strengths and unique qualities, and thats why its fun to play more than just one game.

Gt7 is focused on more than just GT3 Racing, so its understandable that they're a bit slow in adding new gt3 content. But I would love to see modern gt3s in gt7, as well as things like tire mechanics like in acc. It's just sad to see that one of the top automotive games mostly has gt3s from 2015 and not even ture temperature

@@EERIEISSSSthey don’t necessarily have to add the exact cars from ACC based off the real life racing series but still: Aston Martin: 4 models behind Audi: Updated for the most part Alfa Romeo: Keep it the way it is BMW: 2 models behind Corvette: Just add a real GT Corvette car Dodge: Updated Discontinued production) Ford: Just released the Mustang so 1 behind Ferrari: 4 models behind Honda: Updated (i’m not counting the evo) Lamborghini: 2 models behind Lexus: Updated until 2025 McLaren: 2 models behind Mercedes: Updated Nissan: Updated Porsche: Add one of the real Porsche GT3 first Toyota: Updated (for the most part) realistically only two manufacturers of those you’d need licenses, but if Turn 10 could acquire them, i’m pretty sure PD can as well

GT7's tyre model, and as a result overall handling, can't hold a candle to ACC's.

I wish that there is support for PSVR2

What the guys at the SimGrid have done for ACC on console with their 'Seasons' races is nothing short of spectacular. Adding that this is also allowing PS5 drivers to race with XBOX S/X drivers is an added bonus. Quick Races, Proving Grounds and MIni Enduro offer plenty of racing and then there is also the third party leagues that are open for console crossplay. Hopefully this is just the start. The SimGrid went against the grain and put console ahead of PC for a change (though PC drivers do have LFM to fall back on). Great to see you enjoying this Rory.

no vr no buy. maybe i'll try it on my pc when the connector cable for psvr2 drops.

It's exactly what ACC on console needed. Really enjoying it.

Yeah I don't know why they don't make this work in vr on the ps5. It does on pc. Ps5 vr is just a waste of time if they aren't going to go full in with it.

Totally agree. I played Assetto Corsa last weekend for the first time in months, only because I wanted to race at Silverstone. I think I did 5 laps before going back on GT7 & PSVR2

What more could you want? PSVR2 support. I mean, what more could you want? PSVR2 support.

Having only ever watched you race ACC on LFM i was straight away in awe of this game. When i looked into it on the ps5 it didnt look like people were playing it on console, i dont have a pc. What Simgrid have done here, for me is a game changer certainly. The racing on gt7, for me has been sub par.. did a few simgrid races on ACC, im not the fastest but the etiquette you get in the lobbies is incredible, people arent pushing you out of the way or off track. Its been great, are a few people butt hurt here, maybe but such is life...i say job bloody well done Rory...& Simgrid

I play gt7 every day of the week over acc. And its never going to kill gt7 for me, because it just cant do the things i love about gt7

SimGrid seasons has been so much better than the ACC open lobbies , really enjoying the racing

Got a wheel and cockpit set up for my Bday this year and been playing GT7 A LOT. But i have heard and seen ACC being really really good. I have in my library and gonna download it now after seeing you race this. What a great race!

Polyphony has the opportunity to do something special with GT8 if they can provide this standard of gameplay in Sport mode

Most of them focus only race cars and race tracks and they all do it decently or poorly. Same tracks and same are in every game and they call it a "new" game every year the release another

its great! So much better racing than you'll ever get on GT7 and finally it has greatly populated servers. ACC just keeps getting bigger and bigger

Assetto Corsa Competizione is hyper focused on licensed racing/race cars... and tracks. GT7 is a melting pot of cars and tracks, with a majority of content being real while a portion is fantasy. Folks will argue that GT7 is a simcade or arcade, but IMO, it is pretty realistic, considering you CAN learn the basics and intermediate principles of driving/racing by utilizing it. I love that in GT7 you can take a multitude of cars and do ALL types of builds, most of the time, from track, street, drag, drift etc. I love Assetto Corsa though, because it has GREAT physics and the wheel feedback is INCREDIBLE. I also recommend PC3 for wheel feel, and just an overall fun experience, though it's not very realistic. If you can get it on sale it will pay for itself.

Well written sir. Saved me the time, and I would have not been as eloquent and exact as you are. GT7 promotes car culture. It's everything about cars (just about). I'm not into racing, but I love to drive fast cars fast, change liveries, tune and collect all types of cars. Bravo to ACC for providing a top notch sim racing platform for all to enjoy. I love it. More driving / racing / sim / simcade / etc games the better...especially in VR. Let's GOOooooo!

I'd still argue that almost no sim other than beamng has physics like gt7. That alone is why it's the best to me

Later on, went to Le Mans in '96 and never missed one since. My LM car collection in GT7 is to die for. Sooo many genuine liveries to be found, made by folks who put many an hour into recreating them. I am hooked to GT7.

I won a race on SimGrid Seasons today using a game pad.

awesome race Rory !! ACC is not for everyone, as it is focused GT cars, but GT7 truly need to do something here. They need to step up and improve the Sport mode. Waiting for GT8 will be too long IMO.

Was big GT7 fan in the past but after I tried ACC on PC I sold my PS5.. ACC is in a another dimension feeling, graphics, sound , new cars ..

Is there a way I can use the joypad for options and menus but use my wheel for just racing? It really bugs me that this is even a thing. Have they fixed auto rotation yet? Manually setting it per car is a big no no.

The commentary was excellent and ACC continues to deliver realism and intense racing! Thanks for making this video and existing.

Love the pre race qualifying something gt7 definitely needs as it doesn’t seem right that you can do as many laps as you like getting your best time and then randomly getting your grid position depending who the servers pit you against.

There’s a lot of options to purchase ACC. What is necessary to race competitively and have what you need? If anyone knows I’d surely appreciate the info. I’ve not found a straight answer.

If it only had psvr2 support. Once you are used to VR, it's hard to switch back

I'm loving getting back into ACC as well. Struggled to get on with it originally, but gelling with it quite nicely now. Joined a league, had a 44 car race a few weeks back. Chaos but so much fun. Even wom my first league race on Tuesday at Nordschleife 🏆😊

Any word on ACC reducing the console dlc to a more palatable price? Also, any recommendations for a PC simgrid alternative outside of LFM with its safety rating and license requirements to enter races/events?

It would be better if you could just buy the game without having to spend a bunch of extra money on the racing packs.

I like GT7, that said, GT7 purposely made the certain cars insanely expensive with only 4 real decent races, and the sole reason for it is because they sell the credits you buy them with. No other reason explains it. Then when questioned about it after release their statement was "we want everybody to be able to experience driving any car" while following it up with "we priced in game cars at the same price as their auction values for authenticity". Nobody wanted that realism. I did not spend $60 on a game, so I could then spend another $100 to buy ONE 20 million credit car. They had the crazy idea of putting 6 of them in the game as well. You can literally max out the amount of credits you can hold and not be able to buy all of the 20 mil cars, that's only IF they're available at that time cause you have to wait for them to show up in rotation in the legends area.... I loved Gran Turismo since the second one. But GT7 has been fun, that said they sold their soul to their shareholders.

Looks good. It's great to see something new come to our hobby and work. Hope this brings in loads of console "unfortunates" and serves them like lfm on pc.

Any recommendations for a steering wheel on ps5? Been playing racing games for years now with a controller, time to step it up.

Not everyone has a SIM rig and free top notch wheels and pedals. You always gonna do well on whatever you play.

Trust me, it takes a lot of time and dedication to get good with those. It wont magically turn you into Lewis Hamilton. I know because I have it and still kinda suck. Consistency is key.

On ACC, wheel is a must. I tried it with my controller, and it's a joke. Unless they make it usable with controller, it'll never truly compete with GT.

That’s absolutely not true. There are plenty of rich kids, and adults, with high end sim rigs that still suck. Driving/racing requires actual skills other than just buying a wheel and instantly winning. Thinking such a thing as “you can buy your way to a win” is ridiculous. Rory could give you his entire rig and you’d still be slow if you don’t know how to drive.

@@videditorEB1I second this. I recently swapped to a sim rig after decades of wanting one, only to discover that I absolutely sucked. I guarantee having a more expensive sim rig wouldn’t really help until I get the skills.

I haven't use TV since I bought PSVR2... I never played ACC, even if it supports psvr2, if it requires me to use those buttons... i won't be able to see the buttons lol

Gran turismo will live on, this game will get killed, in the end, but yes it does look neat

I started playing this because of you and I can't believe how good it is. I'm a A+ driver in gt7 from London, love to jump in with you on acc or gt7 one day, but my God acc is unreal ❤

How does the matchmaking work? I am A+ driver in GT7 but start from scratch in ACC. Is it the same way with getting „driver rating points“ and compete against opponents with fitting skills?

You’ve got to play against new/ unexperienced players at first but playing against them boots your safety rating SA the more it increases as well as track medals you will be in higher skill lobbies

Who would have thought that at the end of it all, it is the level of quality and etiquette of the players that makes a game enjoyable. Well done to ACC for managing to create a platform for the console that brings mature drivers together. This should be the goal for all racing titles.

ACC is a little more specialised than GT that the herd is thinned down to those who want to take it a bit more seriously. Where as GT 7 has a wider audience, who can come anywhere from your race rooms to your need for speeds. I think it experiences more influx from ganes like the latter. Which is why a bit of bafoonery is more common in GT 7. I even beleive there are cars in GT 7 that also accomodate bad behaviour[usually the outlandish VGT's] But that's what GT 7 subjects itself to unfortunately intentionally or unintentionally.

The last 18 months all I’ve ever played is ACC. Doing league races has been great fun, but it was missing that daily race like GT7 has. Simgrid and David Perel has definitely brought a game changing system. I can’t see myself playing GT7 again really. Even the new GTWS Exhibition Season looks naff, and I love Manufacturers Cup.

PD needs to wake up! I just bought the Game for Ps5 and Somgrid indeed made the Game more Fun its like LFM on Pc so yeah cant wait what the future brings.

This game looks awesome! Hope this gives PD some motivation to innovate on the next installment. Which I hope will allow us as players to take road cars and turn them into GT cars and grow with our favorite road cars (and ability to add bigger fuel tanks so we can actually use them in long races)

What more could you want?, regional servers, in Australia, these races have 350 ping minimum, make them near impossible

I'm by no stretch the greatest racer, but maintain a high B rating and S S.R. on GT, so I would like to at least be able to get around tracks that I am very familiar with...

For me, it does have nothing in common with GT7 apart having cars and tracks. They are in two separate genres (pure sim vs simcade). Otherwise I can say that iRacing is a The Crew killer then but it doesn't make sense lol

I've been racing ps5 acc on simgrid seasons in the past week and it is absolutely everything I wanted from acc but wasn't getting in the online lobbies where chaos reigns. I can't recommend it enough.

Great video and amazing race! I have been playing ACC on PS5 for over a year now and stopped playing GT7. Thanks to SimGrid I was able to find multiple leagues that are very competitive and with much cleaner races than GT7. Seasons and crossplay just brings it up a notch.

It’s still a disconnected experience. There’s some friction to use that, to me at least, makes it harder to believe this will be successful. It’s great improvident but not quite it yet.

There was a small glitch on a later lap. After you fell into 2nd, one of the laps had you in first and it listed 4th place in last. Other than that, it looked nearly flawless.

Does this game include street cars, part customization and tuning capability?

Nah this game don't touch GT7 in GT7 road cars are very fun the graphics on ACC are a joke if ACC do a graphics update then acc will be better to race GT3 cars but GT7 better for road cars racing

Does it have missions, license tests, a somewhat satisfying career? If not It doesn't matter how good the sound, cars, physics are cause it will get old quick

That's the point of this new SimGrid Seasons stuff. It's organized a bit like LFM, you're matched with drivers around your skill level, and rules are enforced against reckless, dangereous behaviour (with a report/appeal channel on their Discord).

only problem I have with Assetto Corsa is that there is no controller support to re-map my controls to how I want them to be. Since I don't have a wheel and pedals, I like to have the right stick on my controller as shift up/down. Can't do that on Assetto Corsa.

Just bought a ps5. And I want assets corsa comp, but I am waiting for evo to step in. Only I don’t know evo will be on the ps5. I hope they also have open wheelers, which I like more.

You will eventually build an understanding for the force feedback and enjoy it more, you only get it from repetition though. Learning trail braking on top of that is crucial.

What simgrid is doing for console racing is dope. GT7 has its place in the racing sims. They just need more variety. That’s what Simgrid has opened up for ACC maybe GT can jump the bandwagon

I love ACC! But I also do love GT... The big thing for me is, what is fun to play... And there I have to say GT7 is more fun to play than ACC... The realism in both simulators are great, maybe ACC is a bit more realistic, but GT7 is just fun to play and I enjoy it more... But I do love to play ACC occasionally as well... But we will see with the launch of the new AC if they added anything fun....

Stay in 5th around that high speed corner at the end of section 2. You can should be able to take that corner in 5th between 128 and 130mph. Down shifting into 4th dropped you down those couple MPH/KPH.. you took it at 200kph/124mph which is why the Ferrari got past you there

I installed this on Ps5 i couldn't even get round the 1st corner without it spinning every direction with a hand controller, defo agree about the vr tho.. I can then sit in my rig an play

I tried ACC several times, but I personally think it's kinda "unplayable" for me as a controller player. I think you need a wheel to play it properly, otherwise you can't be precise enough

I'm confused. Is this a new game or an update? I've had ACC for ps5 for a couple of years.

ive been running only acc for months. gt7 is ok but this is the way to go no coin to collect. straight to the driving. no bs.

My biggest problem with gt7 is you always start at the rear and have 3 laps to pass everyone. It's almost more like your short endurance racing, but with a higher class car.

The best console experience ever is the first time you experience Gt7 in psvr2.

Physical and mechanical damage should be added to the gt7 by now

Does look good, but GT7 is still my go to as it’s another level in VR..but I might jump back on ACC for a go.

If I didn't have VR Assetto Corsa Competizione would be the only game I played. The VR keeps me playing GT7. I so wish that ACC had VR compatibility because it's a far better game than anything else on PS5 at the moment. Roll on Assetto Evo.
