In my game I have imagined them having a bit of a dark academia vibe mixed with a bit of goth glam. I’m so impressed with what you managed just using base game, I think your version suits them perfectly, I love the candles around the bed and Mortimer’s office is a real sanctuary.

WOW! This is probably my favorite renovation of the goth house I’ve seen thus far! And it’s all base game! I love the greys blacks and browns with the touches of red in the lighting like that is so smart. Great use of lighting!! This makes me wanna play with the goth family now 😍

I personally go for more of an elegant austere vibe when i play the Goths rather than all black and red but I love this renovation!

This is probably the best renovation of the goth house I've seen, and I've searched through quite a few to try and get ideas for my own rebuild. I always think their house doesn't really fit into the neighbourhood that well though, so I ended up rebuilding it in a new orleans italianate townhouse style in my game. I'm going to look for your other new orleans style reno and steal ideas now 😄

I've redone this house so many times in various ways because there's so many directions you could go with it and this has inspired me to do it again 😅 loving this series!!

Your builds are wickedly impressive. You just know how to fill every single corner and the fact you managed to do this with just base game when I have such a hard time filling rooms using tons of packs is absolutely incredible.

The house is gorgeous, it is hard to believe that it's only base game! I started playing in a base game save recently because I somehow became overwhelmed with the amount of stuff to do in a game with expansions 😅 Rediscovering base game is actually really fun! You did a great job on this house. I hate the original house that was there. I always think it looks like a burned down abandoned house when I have map view open. This looks so much better, and not sickly and tacky like it was before.

OMG I jumped off my chair when I saw the notification!! This is one of my favorite renos of the Goth Manor, it's just classy and stunning, candles galore, while being base game and keeping the traditional colors in a creative way... I knew that you would do them justice! This actually inspired me to finish my own refresh of the Goth family, they will love their new house! Thank you so much 😍 P.S.: I used that TOOL trick of shrinking some cabinets to 0.995 in the parents room to stop the overlaping! And I always sneak somewhere the fishbowl that actually has a replica of that monstrocity that is their OG house hahahaha. Love me some selfreferencing. P.S. 2: I definitely agree that they not necessarily are true goths despite their last name - in Brazil and other countries their last name is actually "Caixão", that means "Coffin", aluding to the graves in their backyard. And Goth manor started to be more dark and ghoulish just in the most recent games. So I always remake them in a dark academia style with touches of gothic, because I think it's a good compromise and suits them perfectly.

The Goth family is my main household, and I actually really like a lot of the changes you made! I'm actually kinda tempted to start a new save file entirely with this house, but I'd miss the cat Cassandra adopted too much.

Wonderful reno! The layout is so much better now! And I'm glad you made the lighting a little bit on the red side and just warmer in other places, gives the house a more victorian ambience especially with the new color scheme. I will say I'm a little sad to see the wrap around porch go as they're such staples in southern architecture, but no biggie.

Wonderful renovation, one of the best of both house. actually in the Sims 3 when they where children bella lived in a normal house with a normal family, while Mortimer has very noble and gothic parents and house, I adored their house back then. They also had a graveyard with some ghost like a young lady, I think she was Mortimer father's sister. I always thought what brings bella and Mortimer is the fact they both are gothic and unconventional and fully embrace that and never bothered to change their self to be "like the others" . Love it

What i find kind of interesting/funny is that you have that baby blue house that looks cozy and welcoming and then boom, goth house lol

I've always wanted to play the Sims 4 but I didn't have a really good computer to play it on. Now I'm saving money to get a gaming computer and this is making me want to buy the computer faster! This is so good and I plan on using a lot of your builds in the future

This looks awesomee. I personally would've swapped the kitchen with the dining room because it makes more sense with this style of the house but I get the fact that you're trying to stick to the same floorplan so I blame EA for that. Other than that great job! Would've never in a million years guessed this was basegame only!

This is a great Reno of the Goth’s house! Yeah unfortunately the base game red wallpaper swatches are mostly paired with brown - the red/black pairings seem to be mostly vampire wallpapers and base game objects that got a swatch update in the patch before vampires released. Same with the nice dark billiard green for a traditional look, it doesn’t exist in base game.

In the sims 3 I always saw the relationship between bella and mortimer (when they were kids) like this: Mortimer kinda dislikes the creepy vibes his family has because it creeps out most of his friends, but Bella is like "oh my god this is SOOOOO COOL" and that's how their friendship starts and develops. So yeah, I think it makes sense for Bella to be into more gothic stuff than her husband

Bella is a Bachelor by birth. Mortimer is a Goth by birth, so yes his last name. I adore them and love this build though.

You said you weren't going to make it gothic but it still looks pretty gothic to me? At the very least it has dark academia vibes, so it's not too far off. I was worried you meant that you'd make it light and airy or something. But it would be really simple to add darker gothic vibes to this for my own gameplay.

Currently in my game Bella goth is pregnant with twins, and they also have a toddler... and there was no bed! I had to remake the house and had to add two extra bedrooms

this build is amazing but i don’t like how most of the red got took from the walls and furniture. i like the black and grey its just seem like so much i know its a goth house but it seem so plain
