In its original form, the Goth house is really pretty musty and outdated-looking. This classy update was much needed! I'm kinda obsessed with the Goths, to be honest. They have such interesting history in the Sims games! I started a current household several months ago with just Bella and Mortimer in an effort to give them a fresh start, and I'm currently playing Gen 6 of that family. Amazing job as always! 💜

I like the house a lot but I feel like it doesn’t really fit the Goth family... less like a renovation and more of a complete makeover. I really wished you kept the feel of the Goth family or stayed true to some of the weird things or dark colors as the original.

Because there's a difference between a renovation and a complete makeover. People are allowed to be unhappy that the goths,one of the original families in the sims franchise, completely lost their style and quirkiness in this build. It's not the end of the world for people to want the goths to have a you know,goth house

This house is gorgeous like all your builds, it just doesn't fit the family in my eye. No blame on you and it's your style, but it feels like a "normal" family home and not the Goth's one. Their last name *is* Goth afterall which means I'd keep the house similar to the old style which is kind of dark and gothic. But hey, it's your build and not mine. No one forces me to use it. Just my opinion on it and I'm sure many people will like it

It's just as an original family from the first game and have basically always stayed the same they would like to see their house in the same vibe.

So I’m going to start by saying this house is absolutely gorgeous. I love using your builds as a framework for what I eventually build... especially that secret agent room. Absolutely amazing. 10/10. But I’m gonna say all the bright colors are an absolute misstep in making a home for this family. They’re the goths. They’ve built a legacy on being different. Macabre, dark, odd. And I think making everything so bright and lively is a bit of a misunderstanding on who the Goths are. So while I definitely used this home as a frame, I could not bring myself to step away from that gothic style. Not for this family. Everything on my build is ending up, surprise surprise, dark and gothic. Still, it’s a gorgeous home. Beautifully done.

I like the exterior, as it fits better with the aesthetic of the rest of the house, but the interior definitely seems contrary to the whole Goth-aesthetic. I know you probably don't like the darker, victorian-esque theme, but you really missed a great opportunity to really explore the vampire stuff pack with the whole house. It's not necessarily you, either, I've seen lots of simmers renovate the house, but it always ends up as just looking like a completely different house for a different family.

I love what you did to their home. Less vampire Goth and more willow creek Goth. It's beautiful! You did an outstanding job, love 💜 I want to play with them in this home 😂

As someone who has never liked this house I really appreciate that you took it in a different direction. I think it’s lovely and that it fits the personalities of the Goth family real well. There are tons of Goth house makeovers that stick to the original style/color scheme. I personally prefer your version. Great job! 💜

I think this was a MAJOR improvement to the goth house! I never really liked the original house and I felt it was too unrealistic to a house in real life. Your perspective on the family and their house is perfect in my eyes as it is still very unique to the family but more like a house in real life and this is exactly what I pictured a revamp of the house to look like. Good job, you are a very creative builder! 💗

I think people in these comments don't know entirely what "gothic" is.. It's not just dark reds and blacks! It's a whole style of art, fashion, and architecture, and not just the "edgy goth" stereotype of today. Plus, the original Goth house has a lot of items that don't fit in as gothic thrown in there, whereas the renovated one has a cohesive theme to it. And the exterior was always too distracting in game for me personally. This looks great!

Definitely better. I think the Goths are more of a sophisticated family. Not dark etc. Also the Gothic style of building is actually super super brightly colored and looks like a fairy threw up on it. I took an architecture class and those are the exact words my teacher used lmao 🤣

I've never really had any inclination to play the Goth family, but with this renovation I have a huge urge to now. Alexander looks like a worthy future candidate to crack the case of Strangerville. 🤔 I'm so inspired! Thank you so much for this and all your builds! I am so looking forward to your save file! 😄

I love this renovation! I feel like it's a completely new yet clean update, yet you still had the house have older and darker elements (ex.using dark wood for furniture, vintage items, etc.) so I'm really happy with this build. I know there are people that wanted you to stick with the theme of the old home, but I am not one of those people because I personally feel like you found a balance between your own design & the Goth's family style. LOVE it!

Even though this doesn't fit who the Gothic family is, that doesn't mean it's not great for them. She's trying to be realistic by giving them a great home but making sure it fits within the area they live in and the neighborhood's aesthetic.

I can understand why some people may not feel like this suits the Goth family, but I think you successfully captured the elegant vintage style that Bella would decorate with. And the architecture makes me think of New Orleans or Savannah! Absolutely stunning, as usual!

I like the new house, but not for the Goth family. I would have an average large family live in it. I'm loving your renovations.

The lack of quirky macabre in their home is a little disappointing, but as a generic renovation it is quite good. A basement in Willow Creek is an interesting choice though, wasn't it based on New Orleans?

This is nice I just wish that you kept it closer to the Goth families original style and the roof top offfic. Imo

The nice thing about the sims is people can do whatever they want in their world

I love what you did with their house! I've never liked their original house, it always looked so out of place and like it hasn't been renovated in decades! Definitely not somewhere I'd imagine Bella living! This though! I can definitely see Bella having guests over, maybe for a Holiday party or something and being happy with how the place looks! I think Alexander would appreciate having a real room now too :D

I love it! The Goths are definitely classy and dark, but not as much as the base game portays. I feel like EA tried to copy the Addams Family a little, but I like how you made it feel original. It looks like a beautiful old house that a rich family lives in

I love the look of this Goth house waaay better! Looks amazing, I feel the same way about the house needing to be more sophisticated this is much better, the wood accents, pictures, and the cleaner look, it still looks like gothic and old/updated and adding in the entry way, I also love that you deleted the top of the house, not really sure why they did that in the first place! it really looks beautiful

I agree with what someone else said, that the house doesn't fit the Goth's style. Although, another thing I don't really like is that the rooms are so square on the floorplan. With old houses like this, I feel that it's more realistic with a lot of nooks and crannies. But that's just my building style, I guess :) Love your channel.

I never really felt like the originally EA Goth house fit them. I think that your build is beautiful and it suits them! Keep up the great work 💜

Sure there last name is goth but I agree. Just because there last name is goth dosnt mean they have to be gothic. 😞 I love the family but I always hated their house I don't know why but it's just so dark and Alexander's bedroom does not make any sense adjust table a bed on the third little floor I just hate it but the way you've renovated it is very beautiful and I like it better this way thank you for being an awesome KZreadr and please continue the building

I know I'm late but, the Goth family have always been gothic, this is how they were named, "Goth" and they've always been like that since the first game. Some people prefer it that way. I respect your opinion is well though.

I like what you did with the house. When ever I view the willow creek world and see the original goth house I just feel like it looks out of place.

The colour scheme/aesthetic of this build reminds me so much of Bella’s/the player’s house in the PSP Sims 2 game!

This is the colour scheme I always thought they should’ve had and it still really suits their style! Great job, the vampire stuff works great in here.

I wanna go play with the Goths now...I have before and I renovated their house and moved Alex to the second floor with everyone else and use the weird third floor room as the office/man cave but I believe this was back when all I had was base game...I haven't even thought to go back and remodel their home with the vampire stuff...*facepalm* Great job! I agree. The color scheme doesn't really fit the family but the overall aesthetic really does. So just changing some of the walls and furniture to darker swatches would probably help a lot!

I disagree with people saying that because the family is called GOTH, everything should be dark and drab. You haven't even added that much colour, you've brightened things up here and there, but you've definitely kept the old, regal style of the house and used the correct furniture and decor. You remodelled the house based on what the Goth family is to you in YOUR mind, so don't know why some people are giving you a hard time. You did great!

I really appreciate the interior! You can definitely edit the goth family to match their room but kept the personality the same. Although I wish the exterior was kept in its Victorian form.

This house definitely looks like it belongs in New Orleans ... except for the basement. There are no basements in Louisiana due to the water levels (hence why no graveyards either, really). But other than that, I can definitely see this as a house one would find on a tour of New Orleans!!
