For the fans that know the context of the song, the feels are real. The original one has the same lyrics, it's about Ronnie's struggle with drugs and then jail. He talks about how difficult was to stay sober. In here, the piano adds the sadness and maturity about it so we can realize the real problem here, but what i liked the most is that in the original video the "drug" was portrayed as a woman, in here the "drug" is the same woman that is in the album cover... and at the end she burns. Ronnie had been sober for years now, he doesn't need her anymore and we are so fucking proud of him.

Cameron Lott the unfortunate truth is that the selection committee doesn’t look at those lists. They only take into consideration what the majority of people listen to, no matter how good or bad that music is. And actually good music (like this) gets largely ignored because it isn’t very popular. Hence my saying the Grammys is just a giant popularity contest

The thing is, a lot of the time when singing in a more melow tone like Reimagined, people will try to not yell, or have breaks in there voice, or have uneven vibrato. But Ronnie does all of those things, and he's a genius for it. It adds so much emotion to an already emotional song. When he is borderline yelling it's reminiscent of when you're in an emotional arguement with someone. When his voice breaks between head and chest voice in conjunction with the uneven vibrato it almost makes it seems like he's almost crying while singing. Even if it's subtle adding all those things can make something seem so so much more personal and so much more intense than if you didn't. Ronnie Radke is a fucking genius and there's nothing you can do to change my mind.

I feel like they were really popular during the “scene era” but as they progressed, people lost interest, especially with their latest album. I personally liked it, despite the change in sound/style but many people don’t do well with style changes, like Bring Me The Horizons change. They’re definitely making a come back and I think the old fans are coming back as well but they were definitely a staple of the scene and have since been a bit underrated

It's quite amazing actually. Ronnie really depicts how he has matured perfectly. When you're young, you know what you're feeling but don't know how to express yourself. You can't put words to your emotions, and once you get older you're able to do so more effectively. In the original song, the words are the same but the emotion isn't quite there. But in the reimagined version, with his experience and maturity he is able to convey his feelings perfectly.

I know he could have done this same rendition of the song back then but it wasn't what was "wanted" but now, fans have grown up a bit, done some experimenting and now can actually enjoy this type of music. But honestly, I believe this dude can do anything. Well, I don't have to believe because he does. The absolute best musician on earth.

Diving into the lyrics is a must for Falling In Reverse. He writes his own songs and they are usually very emotional and full of things he experiences. "The Drug In Me Is You" sounds very catchy, upbeat, and fun song. But dive into the lyrics knowing that he struggled with drug abuse and you will find a whole new meaning behind what he says. Its almost as if he is admitting his life is falling apart and he cant stop it. I think the use of women in the video (not only cool for a video) is a representation of his vices. "The Drug In Me is Reimagined" uses the same lyrics but delivered in a different method. Also very emotional and carries with it a different meaning. Almost like an apology or declaration. He released the song "for his fans" and the imagery in the video such as the blond woman (who was the cover of his old album) and her burning at the end to me signifies that he is getting better and moving beyond his past. One of my favorite songs by them is Chemical Prisoner. Watch it and have the lyrics pulled up. Ronnie is an artist.

Finally someone who does it right! You react to the ORIGINAL song and then the REIMAGINED because then you can FEEL the difference. Not just hear it 🙌🏼 Kudos to you

You have it over so many other reactions simply because you let the song play and don't interrupt it every few seconds. A true reaction.

It's just funny seeing this song now getting more attention. So many people have only heard of the band through Drugs and onward. I found them online as a little kid LMAO. One of my cousins used to babysit me, and she would play a lot of punk/ska music. I had been trying to find this one song she had played years ago and after I found it, it led me to this shortly after the album came out. I always felt they were underrated.

Sean Rooney. Pianist. Musician. The man whose fingers has given all of us goosebumps and made us cry. Not Ronnie. Sorry for the staccato commentary, but I'm tired, my sugar is low, and fuck I feel dumb for not knowing, and more than a little annoyed that Ronnie accepted all the compliments we all gave him. Not that Ronnie can't play (it), it's just that he didn't. The person who came up with the arrangement, and played it on the recording we all love so much: Sean. He also played the other classical instruments on there(he mentioned it in a comment on his youtube channel, which you should also now go rabbithole through, since he has way too few subscribers bugging him to give us more of his glorious talent - 512... he has 512). How many times has a juice box saved your life? How about this song? Dunno about you, but it made 2020 a fuck ton better for me. It's made life better for me. Someone out there deserves some love for what he's done, and I sincerely hope you take the time to give it to him
