You people of today are amazing, completely different from the audience of a few decades ago. Shouting, fidgeting, noise impress you so much that you hardly pay attention to the actual iconic main character. The more extreme method-acting you get, the more you overlook the most impressive character.

A masterpiece of films, from an era of pure greatness, which is now lost forever...
I still watch this movie nowadays, they were all good actors, I really like that man Tuco, he's a crooked, funny man .
Lavish production, wonderfully written deftly directed and superb acting. Picturisque photography and soothing music.
Eli's acting performance when he as Tuco met his brother is superb. It's like a grandparent seeing a grandchild after a long break. He wanted to embrace right away but step back to observe if the child is receptive. Superb acting. ❤

@@dangerousdanmcgrew745 Yout think wrong. The iconic and truly unforgettable character of the movie I'm talking about was and is "Blondie", the mysterious and cool man with no name! You seem to have no perception of it these days, and that is a great loss. No sense of it anymore. The one that fidgets and grimaces the most is the one that appeals most to people today. We seem to have ended up in a completely different world today in absolutely every respect than we did 30 or 40 years ago. Wallach is one of three protagonists in the movie, and nothing has changed about who the real icon is, namely the coolest movie character of all time. You've just lost the perception of it today, no perception of depth, of mystery, of true greatness that overshadows everything else! Wallach is great, but the absolute legend here is the Eastwood character that no one else could embody like that. This is Eastwood's greatest performance, and Leone's best masterpiece. Eastwood's "Blondie" is the truly irreplaceable one here. Always has been. However, not that I'm still a real fan of this whole satanic movie industry. In the end, they're all false idols.
The greatest Western ever made.
Masterpiece of story telling. Hollywood will never learn it's all about the story.

3 legends casting one of the most epic no 1 movie.
My favorite scene is when they make the captain's dream come true. The dubbing in Italian is like: "Keep your ears open captain, we'll make some noise"
One of the best movies ever made.
Saw it in Palermo, January 1967, perfect joy!
38:25, Eli Walach sounds like an 89 years old man here, because this scene (and a few others) from the Italian edition were spliced into the English version in 2004 DVD release. Eli Walach was born in 1915.
156 minutes and in the middle of the cemeteries where death and man leave this world. Actor Ellie Walsh was creative as he embodies how man gasps behind money in a world you might leave in a moment.
“Has it ever struck you that life is all memory, except for present moment that goes by you so quick you hardly catch it going?”― Tennessee Williams.
Real masterpiece. The performance of the lead actors is incomparable. ❤❤
This last scene contains a lot of wisdom and exhortation to whom in this life, An eye on money and an eye on life, I watched this movie more than a hundred times, and I couldn't stop watching. All the scenes in the movie give you something in life, and you have to be careful.
What's crazy is both For a Few a Dollars More and TGBTU received horrible reviews at the time! Eastwood had trouble picking up US roles until Hang em High and really didn't get any breaks but had made enough money from the success in Italy where he was near superstar status from the trilogy that he created Malpaspo and began making his own movies
A truly great film. A good story with plenty of twists and turns, poignant and amusing moments. Fantastic character development with terrific performances from the cast all wonderfully crafted together by a master film maker. Thank you.
How is it possible that KZread is charging to pay this film 🎥 and yet it is free here?
Made in the days when directors saw movies as a form or art rather than a form of making money. Money has a way of reducing the spirit of originality and integrity. Im glad I grew up in a time when creativity was valued over profit. Absolutely one of the greatest films ever made.
One of the greatest western of all time. Seen in my city of madras ( Chennai) many times . What a movie?
one of the best things about the dollars trilogy for me is how from For a fistful of dollars to G,B&U the improvement in quality is astounding. Leone hit the ground running then picked up speed.
"I like big fat men like you. When they fall they make more noise and sometimes they never get up." Tuco to Wallace.
You can keep your f Oscars for yourself, this movie doesn’t need any to be the greatest one of all times.
One of the best films ever made
When I was twelve I had a lot of anxt over who I was going to grow up to be. I'm not sure why I was so worried about coming of age but it kept me awake at night. One day I remember my Grandad said to me that he knew a film that would help me make the right decision. @@Drachenhannes Yes, I know what they do with the cut, but I really meant the bit before that, the throw and the roll down towards him, which is one take. There's quite a lot of different ways that could go, depending on where the throw landed and the orientation of the bottle on landing. Just a small point, of course; but I would have expected that another cut would have been needed between the throw and the established roll down the slope.

This is a great movie, but I preferred For a Few Dollars More: It had better pacing, and there were times when this one dragged with unnecessary diversions from the quest... All the war scenes could have been completely absent, and it wouldn't've affected the plot in any way at all... Clint was the Leading Man, but Eli Wallach was definitely the star of the show 👍👍👍👍 Tuco es mi amigo 👍👍👍👍

While I agree with you about For a Few Dollars More, this is actually supposed to be a civil war movie. And atleast the prison camp part was important, as it was how The Bad learnt of where the money is, and how he teamed with Blondie. The bridge part however was pointless, except for how Blondie and Tuco told each other about the graveyard and the name of the grave.
My all time favorite western! I must seen this film a dozen times! There are few deleted scenes here which are not shown in other versions.
