Seriously...? 🙄 I'm sick of Good Dinosaur haters, this film is a cinematic masterpiece. Not only did it kill my entire family, but me as well. I honestly can't help but feel like this movie would be so so much better without any dialogue. Like this movie is absolutely gorgeous, but ALL of the dialogue falls flat. Imagine how creative and interesting this movie would be if there was no dialogue, everything was visual cues and musical cues.

The more I think about it the more it would actually make the movie greater. The only real dialogue I liked (for the most part) was the dinosaur's parents, and even then there was still something slightly off with the dad's dialogue I can't put my finger on.

They spent so much time getting the backgrounds to look photorealistic that they forgot to make it look like a movie universe or even have random dinosaurs in the background. Like, the backgrounds are beautiful, but they look so empty without OTHER dinosaurs just walking around or doing something.

The fact that they pitched the premise of "what if the meteor didn't kill the dinosaurs" and then did literally nothing with it is probably the single biggest missed opportunity in Pixar history.

what pisses me off is not even that so you have a dinosaur's neolithic era here they're inventing agriculture and how in the exact fuck we only get 5 dinosaur doing that? human hunter gatherer societies used to be up to 150 individuals why didn't we get a tribe of dinosaur? why limit your project to only 5 characters when you could've have a bloddy prehistorical village heck I'll give you one better give me akkadian empire with dinosaur's show me ea nasir dinosaur's selling bad copper show them inventing clay tablets to complain about the copper do something interesting

I’m pretty sure the reason why pixar movies like Brave and the Good Dinosaur were less than stellar was because they had shakeups during production that swapped around writers and directors.

Ratatouille did swap directors during its production. I didn't know about The Good Dinosaur drama, but Brave's failure comes from Pixar replacing the female director with a male director. There are countless interviews where Mark Andrews says Merida's gender isn't relevant to the story...

That is the FUNNIEST version of one of them checking how long was left. Whenever they watch something terrible they just work so much harder to be funny and theyre just too good.

This movie changed my life drastically. Me and my Dad were watching this movie for the first time in the bathroom while my dad was in the bathtub. We watched it on our CRT which was mounted directly above the bathtub, when suddenly it broke off and fell in, killing my father insantly. Miraculously, I survived. Now, every time I watch this movie, I am reminded of how Arlo not only killed his own father, but mine as well.

I watched this movie with my now dead family. I was in so much mourning but this movie saved me. In fact, I watched it with my dead grandpa while he was in the casket. I even watched it with my dad while he was in the bath but sadly the TV fell in and now he's dead too. How dare you not like Pixar's The Good Dinosaur that came out November 25th, 2015 directed by Peter Sohn.

Everytime Eden doesn't understand something you guys should just rewind the film to the very beginning every time just to get him straight

I feel like the only reason this film exists is to show off the visuals. The environments look gorgeous and have come a long way since Toy Story, but like video games, pretty looks don’t make up for everything else being mediocre. Some people have mentioned it already, but this film really could’ve benefited from having no dialogue.

Crazy how the concept of the meteor missing has been done so much better by C.M. Kösemen, who came up with the concept of raven-like dinosaurs developing a hunter-gatherer lifestyle and eventually reaching space. Pixar could’ve introduced a plausible concept to millions but they didn’t, and it makes me upset.

I swear I remember Arlo getting home to find his dad there and he just took the longest detour possible

Sometimes I worry for Eden’s health when he keeps forgetting something or not paying attention, like with the meteor scene or humans being a thing in the film, let alone Eden saying he watched the movie before and appears to barely remember anything. 🥺

Not necessarily a horrible film, but by far the most forgettable.

This is my favorite pixar movie. My mom and I watched it all the time, even when she was in the hospital with cancer. I hope they don't make fun of this movie.

I watched this movie with my now dead family. They died immediately after in a sudden flood. This movie’s water reminds me of this, but with how calm the water is, it almost makes me feel calm and acceptance of what happened. The movie is amazing, top 3 Pixar film, peak fiction.
