haha i did not anticipate how insane this guy would be when i clicked on this video. he literally sounds like a madman. i love it.
you know you are wiser than you give yourself credit for. just by understanding the fact that geometry is what the universe is made of is a feat on its own. great job and thank you for the tip.
Thanks so much! Finally A video on how to do this on paper, the old fashioned way instead of just loads of video tutorials on how to do it in Photoshop! You are awesome!
I want to do this with my art students tomorrow! When I was in art school the Golden section was not emphasized as it should have been, especially since it occurs in all of nature and without applying it compositions are weak. The students are going to love this. Thank you for posting.
love the energy you have in your videos, they're super fun to watch!
Thanks for the tips! Totally loving the enthusiasm!
I love listening to you... it’s just like the little voice inside my own head all day. Us artists are so cool and fun!!
The energy this man has is amazing

That was lovely! I actually drew that circle until the 5 pointed star and it reminded me how much I used to like geometry in school.
Omg! I watched this about 4 times over and over.. not because I didn't get the ratio measurement but shoo you are just adorable ! I love it! Paints .. I'm goofy and talking to myself and laughing.
this is so cooollll!! you got me excited!!
You're a very entertaining host! love the jokes and anecdotes and the video's actually v informative
He made it funny! Need to watch again, again, and again!
Brilliant Tutorial and video! Your enthusiasm is inspiring! 😀

Loved every minute of it...even the project!!! You would be a great teacher if u aren't one already
Positive attitude. Good video. Thanks!
I loved every minute of this. Thanks!
This is awesome will need to make one of them and start measuring stuff
Wish I was as happy and carefree as you. Love your video!
Artists are cool,!I liked this guy as soon as he started talking.very informative, excellent info, and fun! If it was a pain to watch, your no artist, your a hack.
This brings back memories when i was in drafting class XD. A compass a rule and a mechanical pencil were my best of friends back then haha
great energy in this vid :) thanks for sharing
my gad, you were so hyped and excited. amazing hahaha, you're funny.
Great Video. This is what happiness sounds like. The world needs more of this than all the madness we see daily.

i like the way & the spirit u performed .. so motive thnx
which material u used to make
Thanks so much pretty informative and easy to follow instructions for the sketch! just how you joined the parts it was out of the camera. thanks a lot; I hope you to create a sketch of Fibonacci Spiral with squares and triangles.
Thanks Shoo. This is a fantastic tutorial. I am going to make my Golden Ratio Divider today. Can´t wait to see how I can improve my illustration!

Do that VooDoo you Shoo Doo so well. Seriously, just discovered you. Enjoyed you thoroughly. You inspired me.
Brilliant Will have to watch about 100 times
This is great. Do you have any more videos on sacred geometry? I am very interested in learning more.
This is really helpful! Thank you! :D
I find you amazing this is what i needed from life XD
Very cool! May have to make one of these just as another tool to expand. Fun video also. ;) Wanted to say also at the art and craft shop I work at, we call those little pin thingies, "Brads" is what they are titled on the products themselves. Never would have known myself though unless I was working at such a place haha. Thanks again for the video, look forward to seeing more!
I really love your energy.... i just love it... and it shows in your work...

your so enthusiastic I LOVE IT
Thank you! You're the MAN! This is awesome! What material did you use to make that? Can I do this in any size?
We still do dissections in high school biology in Canada! We had to use (shudder) scissors though (scalpels are still used in Uni though). There's something infinitely more repulsing about cutting into something with scissors rather than a blade.
I really like the way you are! People who are passionate, inspiring, with positive attitude! 👍👍👍👍💙
Excellent video superb explanation
watching your vidéo hurt my finger i always have to like and share everywhere
how can I not like the video! AMAZING!
Video is good !! I thought a ghost would spring out when you said magic would happen !!!
you are amazing !!! :) you really made my day, if I had a teacher like you I would love geometry :)
Loves this!
Laughed my pants off! Great explanation, thank you!
Fantastic video👍 fantastic tool 👌
It's a Febenacci Square. Thanks for the tutorial, a bit frantic but we got there. I was about to buy one....not now ;-)
What a fun video! I’m making this right now- was referred to you🙂love the crazy sound effects😂!

Wonderful!!!
Damn the whistling brought my dogs in on it.
In Australia we call those fasteners "Split Pins" - because they're pins... and they split..... we're very inventive.
great video !
How come you were so accurate with your geometry, and no so when cutting your straight edges for your golden mean divider?
I think you are awesome !!! love your personality !!!! cool guy ! I love when people have passion for what they do........
Hi Shoo! You know what? I like you just the way you are! You make learning more enjoyable, funny and Interesting! I definitely don't yawn and you explain everything clearly. Although the demonstration of the golden ratio was kind of confusing, but I am not a math(s) whiz. Thank you for taking the time out of your days to share your talents and instuctions and answer the questions of your viewers. And on top of that you visit schools to share your gift with the students. Whew! That wipes me out just thinking of all you do! The students love watching you work too. Don't retire! Oh yeah. Did you go to art school or university to get your artistic training or are you self taught?
Omg this is awesome, can you make a 10 point equal space divider?
Thank you soo much for this
When I was 12, I discovered drawing, and got taken away by images ever since. Like jacenprice said... The passion you show is really inspiring. I`m now about to get my degree in economics and would love to teach with such passion as you do. When I wen to "art" school, my teacher kept telling me that what I drew -although was made in the moment- was not product of my imagination, but from an idea. If all teachers were like you the hole learning process would be a reall journey, an adventure!!
Haha love the commentary, keep it up!
Shoo was so hyper in this video, Hahaha. I love it. Interesting tool, by the way.

when i was young we used to call them butterfly pins
Why not just divide 360 degrees into 5. That angle would represent 5 equal arcs of the circle. Serious question here.
Wish I knew these skills you ninja!
brillant explication, thx
what is that bolt like thingi called ?
What about those who have already cut a straight edge on their left index finger? Yes, my finger now follows the straight edge. Ruined my fingerprint though but I can point real well.
cna you draw the england badge please?
Love the sense of humor especially
What tools do you use? that protractor looks so sturdy!
can someone explain the angles he is using on the compass? He just keeps changing it.
At 4:00, the reason for that not to join is that you used the wrong length when drawing that parallel line. The length u took is from a straight perpendicular line, but u put that on an arc. Though it is a small portion of the arc, ie the curvature is low, it still set you off track.
Hey Shoo, do you realize how rare it is for today's "humans" to actually be able to make anything, and be able to teach others. They only know how to criticize and destroy, hence are experts on making an ass of themselves. Your video was very entertaining and informative. My question is: is the ratio a secret or did you just forget the number? Real question: how does this information relate to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?
This is WITCH CRAFT at work here! DONT BE FOOLED!! Lol nah, just kidding. I love how Shoo goes from being really relaxed, concentrated, and mellow to a complete goof ball! ☺️ He isn't high on drugs, he's high on life! Lol

I thought he was just a goof ball because he loves his work and loves to make it entertaining. The fun teachers are the ones you remember the most other than the ones that challenge you.
I have lived with cocaine dependents users, for long time, and they never act this way(wish they would do),,, sometimes people unknow the true emotion that finally makes and share happiness.. eventhough I am an old woman, sometimed, I act this way, when I achieve something... thank you very much Shoo Rayner to give to us, the chance to have a usefull item as this...God bless you!
Excelente!
At time 4:01 the fifth line didn't quite meet where it should. The reason is at 1:48, Mr. Rayner just barely missed the center. Still, a nice video!!! Thanks!
not only interesting, but very useful too. Thank you so much. I love DIY and those measuring tools cost an arm and 2 legs at the shop.... Be well. Stay fun. Bye now
ShooRayner, you are such a wierd and happy person. And i like it ^^
there are many names - we call it Phi Calipers at Barnstone Studios.
Incredible.
wonderful i loved it all, very easy to watch and learn ,i'm 77 now but kids should enjoy this stuff .life before p cs thanks tony t
This Is Great!
impresive
you checked the timestamp when he said 8 minutes 27 seconds I know cuz I did and the recording time for him (his camera I guess) was slightly off from the time of the video

How do you determine the length of the middle articulating pointer, is it arbitrary or do you just make it even with the two longer pointers? Also Ran this in a CAD program and regardless of size, the distances from one point of the pentagram to the nearest point of the inner pentagon (either point obviously) is equal to the distance from either of those points to the furthest point on the pentagon. Point is... No need to use different points for the articulating pieces. Never mind, figured it out
You have a amazing energy, wish i had teachers like you.
