This reminds me of Endeavor, but with the addition that as you advance along your player board you get to unlock unique actions. Very cool game.

This really feels like Tapestry the way you describe it, but this came first.

Funny I was just thinking I had too many civ games and now.. need this one. Love Roche's work! Conflict doesn't seem too destructive but could be discouraged a little by removing the 5 and 6 glory tokens. China would still get a good shot at a 4 over 2.

+JW G. I finally picked up my copy yesterday and the lady at the store I ordered it from said that she didn't like the art at all. The Golden Ages is my fourth game with Roche's art and I love it. Some folks love the excessively "perfect" computerized art in Magic and other similar games, which is fine, but there's something special about the way Roche expresses through his artistry that no program can match.

Careful when you say 'Tap' ... Wizards might come after you ;)

does it have civ bots like Historia?

Gameplay looks solid. Too bad about the board ( which looks like Through the ages 2.0 )

I would not set up everything in advance, it can be done while playing

That’s true when *playing*, but Rahdo is demonstrating the game, so it’s nice to be seen like this.
