I just picked up a copy of this game, and I really appreciate your videos. I will probably play this as a 2 player first but it is exciting to hear how it changes with the different player counts. Thanks!

Well done! Great to hear about how much the experiences differ with the different player counts and randomized locations/allies. Seems like there will be a ton of replayability. Great ending to the Showcase!

Thanks so much David! It really is quite a dynamic experience based on both the randomized elements and the player count. Glad to hear the videos were informative for you!

I found these videos really useful and interesting. Helped me think about how to build a strategy for different player counts. Thanks!

ArrestedDeveloper I agree. I'd love to find players like this to group fame with on a regular basis. I have a couple guys I game with, but it's pretty sporadic.

Watched it now, game doesn't seem to cater for 2 players, does it? I mostly only have players for 2 players in my group...

Red Mage Hmm, I guess it would depend on your of how you define "catering" to a certain player count. We certainly felt the game worked well at 2 players and was very competitive.

The end scores were so far apart, felt like if one player gets the advantage on a certain resource, it's hard for the other player to catch up. With 3 players, the two can form a temporary alliance to bring down the leader. Just something I noticed in a lot of 2 player games.

Red Mage ahh ok, I got you. I think that's definitely something that can happen in a 2 player game, it's super cutthroat. But I also kind of think that's the game in the 2 player experience. Each player is going to be fighting for that advantage to turn the game in their favor. I don't think it'll always be a score blowout like this but I feel like there will always be a race to see who can gain an edge first. The whole 2 player game being under an hour I think plays into this as well. I dunno, that's my two cents anyway! :)

Red Mage I LOVED it with 2 players! but really matters which 2 players, my gut says you either have to know the other player SUPER well or not at all.

I enjoyed this game but have two questions still not clear. With three players reaching act 3, only one business spot is left empty for red business. How do rest of business get used? I missed the details about this in rule book. And the second is what happens if two player get mayor or police? As the original card stays with the bid winner of act 1 and clash with act 2 bidder?

you3001 These cards are all 2.5 X 3.5 inches...same size as Magic cards. For these I used Ultra Pro standard sleeves. Hope that helps!

If you use a carbomb on a turf, do you only remove other players figures, or also your own? + at 2:36 I think you do have to place another power placement token on top of your already placed one.

The Car Bomb card specifically says remove all "enemy" figures from a territory. That means just enemy player figures, not your own or any neutral figures. As far as influence tokens during Turf War, you only place a token if the number of figures EXCEEDS the number of other players / neutral figures in that space. So if it's a tie, no additional influence token is added but whomever controlled that area still maintains control. Hope that helps!

at 6:27 It's said that gunning can be a good strategy, I can see that but how would someone respond to that situation. Just give up on those prospects and go to different territories? Unless they explained that, and I missed it. I guess I'm just curious how the game balances to that play style.

That's a good question. While I was specifically talking about going with a "gun strategy" I'm just referring to going after more grey jobs that gun down figures. Normally, I'd been avoiding them as I didn't see the real benefit to myself in them. The other colors of jobs in the games generally give YOUR figures extra things to do...taking an bonus action, banking extra cards, re-placing another one of your figures, etc. The grey cards just didn't seem as powerful to me until repeated plays showed me their benefit. The grey jobs are definitely not stronger than any other jobs per say, it just depends on the flow of the game. The main purpose of grey jobs are help you shift control of the territories and take power away from other players. You gunning down an enemy figure and getting a few dollars is actually a pretty small benefit at first, but the pay off comes at the end of the round when those players lose control. That said, If you're going out of your way to only chase Gun resources and complete grey jobs, you're going to have fallen behind elsewhere. You ideally want to do a little bit of every job type when it helps you the most, while also maintaining control of key territories. In addition to money you've had to bank, there's the multiple bonus points given at the end of the game based on # of each job color completed as well as whomever has the most control tokens in each region. There's a lot to consider as there's definitely not one key strategy that we've seen. I know that was a wall of text but I hope that helps a little!
